These challenging times can strain our abilities to cope. You may find you are more fatigued or more irritable; many are feeling the stress in important relationships. It has been an especially difficult time for children and teens, and their parents. It's a good time to get some support. I believe that healing starts with self compassion. I can help you to cultivate a compassionate curiosity that honors your strengths and explores the areas where you would like to change and grow.
As a licensed psychologist, I help clients achieve their goals and overcome challenges through a collaborative and evidence-based approach. Using a culturally responsive cognitive behavior therapy framework, I create a safe space for self-exploration and making meaningful change. Working together, my clients have reported improved mood, relationships, and self-image. I have helped clients change unhelpful habits, adjust to life transitions, and reach their goals.
I view therapy as a collaborative process where clients are invited to make sense of their experiences in a way that feels authentic to them. Rather than directing the process, I focus on creating a supportive environment where individuals can speak openly, reflect at their own pace, and gain insight into their thoughts and emotions. In the midst of busy and often overwhelming daily life, having intentional time to pause and look inward can be a powerful part of personal growth.
Creating room for reflection can open the door to new perspectives and a deeper awareness of internal experiences. As clients begin to better understand their emotional responses and patterns, they often find greater clarity in how they relate to themselves and others. This increased awareness can support more intentional decision-making and help guide the next steps in their personal growth.
I received my B.A. in Psychology at Macaulay Honors College, CUNY, and my M.Ed. and M.A. in Mental Health Counseling at Teachers College, Columbia University.
After graduating, I have been working as a therapist since 2021 with a specialty in the LGBTQ+ community. I have worked with depressive, anxiety (generalized, OCD), ADHD, mood, personality disorders and disordered eating. Experience includes working with issues of self esteem, stress, relationships, parenting, gender, identity, race/ethnicity, immigration, grief, trauma, substances, habits, motivation, focus and attention.
My interests and clinical focuses include self-care, minority body image, Latinx mental health, psychosis in youth, and am passionate about self-acceptance/love. I created and use the motto "Write your own narrative" in my annual bootcamp as a reminder that we each have our own story and control over it.

In my practice, I work primarily with adults who want to understand themselves more deeply, break long‐standing patterns, and feel more grounded and confident in their daily lives. I have extensive experience supporting clients who struggle with self‐criticism, avoidance, perfectionism, and the lingering impact of family dynamics. I also work with high‐functioning professionals to help them maximize their insights, achieve balance, and unlock their potential.
Outside of my clinical work, I’m grounded by a long, loving marriage, a close circle of friends, and a life that includes equal parts structure and humor. I’m a dog person, someone who values connection and curiosity, and I try to show up fully in the relationships that matter. These parts of my life shape the way I practice: with steadiness, clarity, and a genuine respect for the complexity of being human.

Finding the right therapist in Patchogue starts with getting clear on what you're looking for. Think about the concerns you want to address — whether that's anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or something else — and the type of provider who might be the best fit. Licensed therapists (such as LMHCs, LCSWs, and psychologists) offer talk therapy, while psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners can prescribe and manage medication. Many providers in the Patchogue area specialize in approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and couples counseling.
Practical details matter, too. Consider whether you prefer in-person sessions in Suffolk County or virtual visits from home, and look for a provider whose availability works with your schedule. Reading a provider's bio can give you a sense of their style and areas of expertise before you commit.
Therapy on Long Island can be expensive without coverage, but using your in-network insurance benefits is one of the most reliable ways to reduce what you pay.
