I am passionate about helping individuals and families find joy, meaning, and connection in their lives. I completed my graduate training at The University of Chicago, and have received additional post-graduate training in Internal Family Systems (IFS) including Somatic IFS, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT and more.
I earned a Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Cincinnati after working in Children's Protective Services and Juvenile Court facilities. I have years of experience helping children, youth and families connect and function in more healthy ways. I see adults and couples as well, and strive to facilitate healing of hearts and marriages.
I have personal and professional experience in foster parenting and adoption. One of my special areas of interest is the effects of nutrition and exercise on mental health. I have utilized Equine-assisted Psychotherapy for twenty years as a specialty.

Hello and Welcome! If you are seeking results, you have come to the right place! I am Heidi Ross, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Ohio and Licensed Professional Clinical Candidate in the state of Colorado.
A little about me. I received my Bachelor of Psychology in 2000 and my Master of Education in Community Counseling in 2002 from the University of Akron. For 9 years, I provided therapeutic counseling services to children and adults in outpatient, home-based, and school-based settings. For the past 11 years, I have provided outpatient mental health therapy to individuals, couples, and families of all ages, in person and via telehealth, in a private practice setting.
I am a very diverse therapist who feels it is very important to meet clients where they are at. I have an open-door policy regarding client population. We are all in this life together and may need assistance to get through! I provide high-quality care to older teens, adults, and couples in need through the convenience of telehealth. “It is my mission to help others help themselves, and to help them get through life’s obstacles!"
Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you’re used to managing everything on your own. I work with adults, including many caregivers who are balancing a lot and may feel overwhelmed, stretched thin, or unsure how to prioritize themselves while caring for others.
I’ve supported clients navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, life transitions, relationship challenges, grief, trauma, and parenting stress.
I also bring extensive experience working with children and adolescents (ages 4–21), which allows me to support parents with a deeper understanding of child and adolescent development. This helps caregivers better understand their child’s behavior and feel more confident in how they respond at home.
Hello, I am a dual certified Nurse Practitioner with board certifications in Women's health and Psychiatric Mental health. I work with women, moms, and adults who are dealing with anxiety, ADHD, depression, and the emotional ups and downs that come with stress, life changes, or motherhood. Many of my clients feel misunderstood, easily triggered, or frustrated with how their emotions are affecting their relationships, focus, or daily life.
I am a very open-minded therapist. I have worked with a large range of different people in different settings. I have worked with kiddos from age 4 to adults aged 70+ and have found what works best for each individual I work with. I studied my undergrad at Cleveland State University and got my masters at Northeastern State University in Oklahoma. After, I worked school-base, home-based, as well as within the workers comp world so have worked with a little of everything!

Postpartum concerns can include more than depression, including postpartum anxiety, birth-related stress, identity changes, relationship strain, and pregnancy loss grief. If you are looking for specialized experience, review therapist profiles for perinatal mental health training, listed postpartum specialties, or credentials like PMH-C, which signals added training in perinatal mental health care.
Cincinnati offers a range of postpartum mental health resources, and virtual care can help widen your options when timing, infant care, physical recovery, or travel make in-person appointments harder to schedule. As you compare therapists, consider appointment availability, whether a free phone consultation is offered, and the therapist’s approach to care. Reading bios before booking can help you understand how each therapist describes their work with postpartum concerns, miscarriage support, stillbirth, infant loss, and related grief.
