I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW/LISW‐CP) with more than 16 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, families, and high‐stress professionals. I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of South Carolina with a concentration in Individuals, Families, and Groups. I later completed a Play Therapist Training Program at Old Dominion University Norfolk, Virginia, and I am a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor (RPT‐S).
My career has been rooted in service, leadership, trauma informed care and crisis‐responsive care. Across these roles, I’ve provided therapy, crisis intervention, diagnostic assessments, supervision, and program oversight. I’ve supported individuals navigating PTSD, anxiety, depression, burnout, family conflict, trauma histories, and major life transitions.
My background allows me to understand both the clinical and human sides of stress, trauma, and resilience.

Better tomorrows are ahead with a guide willing to help along the way. Brett has been helping clients reach better tomorrows for more than a decade. His primary areas of focus have been couples issues, substance use, anger management, trauma, anxiety, depression, and general every day stress. No problem is too big that we cannot come to solutions, together.
My priority is helping you reach your goals. To that end, I often use a combination of Cognitive-Behavioral, Solution-Focused, and Narrative therapies, primarily, to help you reach those goals.
As a whole, my approach is positive and looks to help you build in a healthy way. My job is to listen and help you get to a healthier place in your life. Let me be your guide and see how life can be.
It takes a lot of courage to reach out for help. I am honored to be apart of each client's journey. I enjoy working with adolescents, adults and couples. I have gained experience through working in schools and outpatient settings. I have been employed in a treatment facility and have experience working with people in addiction and recovery. I have a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have a passion for women's mental health and working with pre/postpartum mental health.
I help people navigate life’s challenges by focusing on what truly matters to them. I use an approach that encourages embracing your thoughts and feelings rather than fighting them. Together, we’ll explore how to live in a way that’s more aligned with your values, even in the face of stress, anxiety, or difficult emotions. My goal is to support you in creating a life that feels meaningful and true to who you really are, not defined by your struggles but by your choices and actions.
