Adam Love is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a passion for helping people through life’s hardest transitions—grief, trauma, addiction, relationship struggles, and identity shifts. His path to becoming a therapist was anything but linear. Originally trained as a writer, Adam earned an MFA in Creative Writing and worked for over a decade in content marketing. But after the loss of his best friend in 2020, everything changed. In processing his own grief, Adam discovered social work and felt an immediate calling to the field. In his free time, Adam can often be found skiing at Alta or touring Big/Little Cottonwood Canyon, walking the golf course at Bonneville, traveling with his dogs, or losing himself in a photography or videography excursion - and sometimes attempting a beautifully difficult video game.
I earned my Master of Social Work from Pennsylvania Western University in 2023, and I've spent my career working with people across private practice, outpatient settings, and residential programs for mental health and addiction. That range matters... it means I've sat with people at many different points in their journey, and I know that healing doesn't look the same for everyone. I specialize in helping adults like you work through anxiety, depression, borderline personality traits, and dissociative experiences. And I bring something beyond my training to this work: I'm in recovery myself, and I'm a parent of an LGBTQ+ child. Those experiences mean I'll never show up with judgment — only with understanding of what it actually feels like to face something hard.
I'm a curious and understanding therapist who finds immense joy in my work. With a deep passion for building meaningful connections, I thrive on supporting my clients as they navigate their journey to self-acceptance and purpose in life.
I work with individuals who are ambitious and capable but often feel stretched thin trying to keep up with life, goals, and expectations. Many of my clients are professionals or working adults navigating stress, burnout, perfectionism, or self-doubt. I also enjoy working with teenage girls (13+). Together, we’ll uncover what’s holding you back, set realistic boundaries for your time and energy, manage stress, and find more peace in the present while still working toward meaningful goals for your future.
I’m EMDR-trained and IFS-informed. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from Boise State University in 2021.
I bring a mix of deep listening, mindfulness, and just enough humor to help you breathe a little easier while we face the hard stuff together. I believe deeply in the possibility of change — the real kind of change that takes courage, patience, and practice. And I know that change is hard, which is why you’ll never have to navigate it alone in our work.
Clients often describe me as warm, collaborative, and gently direct. I’m committed to making therapy a space where you feel supported, challenged in helpful ways, and respected for the experiences that shaped you. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, relationship patterns, identity concerns, or major life transitions, I’ll walk alongside you with curiosity, compassion, humor, and practical guidance.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Utah who has been practicing since 2015. I tend to take a direct approach but also show love and compassion to all of the clients I see no matter their age, race, gender, past, or present that prevents them from moving into their future. Within the practice I work in, Renova Wellness & Consulting, we specialize in trauma treatment and using various techniques to help clients live a live they deserve.
My practice is not a social hour or "paid friendship"; it is a surgical intervention for the soul. I deliver my strongest results for high-achieving professionals, most often cisgender women, in medical, legal, and niche service industries where performance and desirability are currency. You have mastered the art of becoming the "perfect provider" to survive male-dominated spaces, but you are starving behind the mask.
Leveraging my background in Law (JD) alongside clinical mastery, I provide a formidable container of safety where you can finally drop the performance. I work best with high-acuity professionals tired of carrying the emotional load for everyone else. We don't dismantle your strength; we restore the authentic self hidden behind the armor. (Note: I do not accept "fix-it" referrals for unwilling partners. This space is for you.)
When your mind feels constantly “on”—replaying conversations, second-guessing yourself, or stuck in the same patterns—it’s exhausting. Even when things look fine on the outside, it can feel like you’re just getting through the day. Many of the people I work with are high-functioning but overwhelmed. They’ve tried to think their way out of anxiety, self-doubt, or overthinking, but still feel stuck—waking up at night worrying, avoiding situations, or feeling like they’re not good enough.
I'm a Clinical Mental Health Counselor and have been working professionally as a therapist since 2023. However, I began working in the mental health field with children in foster care in 2016. My time with those kids made me realize that my passion for helping people was in therapy, not in medicine. During my program, I interned in the Alaska Child Trauma Center with kids as young as 2.5 years old. After getting my Master's degree, I began working in inpatient hospitals with teenagers. These experiences are what led to my interest in helping people of all ages work through trauma, suicidal ideation, and behavioral issues. As well as helping parents find the best way to manage their children's behaviors and find the best way to improve their relationship.
