Healing from trauma takes time and the right support. Headway's Alaska network of 122 providers specializes in PTSD treatment, offering flexible virtual and in-person sessions with approaches tailored to your recovery journey.
I'm a licensed therapist and one of the few clinicians in Alaska with a PhD in
Clinical Sexology — which means I'm trained to hold the full range of human
intimacy, identity, and relationships without judgment. I specialize in
working with LGBTQ+ individuals, couples navigating non-traditional
relationship structures (poly, ENM, kink-affirming care), people in or
connected to the military, and anyone dealing with trauma, addiction,
anxiety, or depression. I've been doing this work since 2013, and I've found
that the clients who come to me are often the ones who've struggled to find
someone who truly gets where they're coming from. I'm not here to
normalize you — you're already whole. I'm here to help you move forward.
Coming from a military family—and serving as a trauma-focused clinician—I understand the unique challenges this community face. I specialize in EMDR and use parts work, mindfulness, and attachment theory to help clients process difficult experiences and reconnect with their strengths. I work best with helpers—military spouses, veterans, service members, law enforcement, healthcare workers, and those navigating complex family-of-origin dynamics. My clients often say I “get it,” speak their language (yes, even grunt-style), and show up as a real person.
Taking the first step toward therapy takes courage, and I'm glad you're here. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience helping adults and teens navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic pain, life transitions, and chronic stress. I believe healing happens when we care for the whole person, not just the symptoms. My goal is to provide a supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and, most importantly, empowered to create meaningful change.
I bring a culturally responsive and compassionate approach to mental health counseling, grounded in a Master’s degree in Psychology and over a decade of experience in behavioral and mental health care. My work has spanned a variety of settings, including adolescent residential treatment, acute inpatient care, intensive outpatient programs, and outpatient counseling within critical access hospitals.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of supporting a wide range of individuals and families, including toddlers, adolescents, adoptive families, legal guardians, and adults. I am experienced in navigating complex systems of care, with a strong background in case management, residential and outpatient services, and community-based support.
Having worked extensively across Alaska, I understand the importance of culturally informed care and the unique challenges faced by diverse communities.
My goal is to create a safe, respectful, and collaborative space where clients feel understood and supported as they move toward meaningful change.
My style is warm, validating, and compassionate, while also being honest and intentional. I believe therapy should feel supportive but also purposeful. As our therapeutic relationship grows, I offer direct feedback and thoughtful challenges to help you move out of patterns that no longer serve you. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from yourself, my goal is to help you build insight, resilience, and a stronger sense of control over your life. I specialize in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, grief, trauma, and depression. I use evidence-based techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, and I am trained in EMDR. An evidence-based approach that helps clients process trauma and distressing experiences in a way that feels manageable and empowering.
