Hi, I’m Kelly Cramer, a licensed professional counselor in Colorado and an LPCC in New Mexico. I have spent much of my career supporting kids, teens, and young adults—both in schools and through telehealth—so I’m comfortable with the real-life pressures that show up at home, at school, and in relationships. I also specialize in supporting adults through trauma, life transitions, and stress. I am a doctoral student in Counselor Education and Supervision at Oregon State University, with a research interest in the intersection of climate change and mental health. I care a lot about doing this work, engaging with thoughtfulness and integrity. I am noted as a therapist who is warm, practical, and genuinely on your team.
In my private practice, I utilize a diverse range of therapeutic modalities tailored to meet the unique needs and goals of each cli. These modalities include Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Ketamine Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 12 years of experience in the social work field. I specialize in supporting people who struggle with addiction and their loved ones. I worked at CeDAR ( Center for Dependency, Addiction and Rehabilitation) in the inpatient setting. I ran the family program in addition to working closely with the patients who struggled with addiction. I have supported many people who struggle with depression, anxiety and grief and loss.
Additionally, I enjoy supporting parents, as parenthood is one of the most important and, at times, difficult journey we go through in adulthood. I am well versed in the Parenting with Love and Logic curriculum and have shared it with hundreds of families over the years.
I believe therapy works best when clients feel genuinely seen, heard and understood. I consider it a privilege to walk alongside my clients as they navigate challenges, discover and build upon their strengths and create the life they want to live.
Many of the solutions we seek are already inside of us. They can be hard to find, but it is possible. Using talk therapy and emotional regulation skills, we’ll work together to identify goals and practices that fit with the life you’re eager to live. I will provide compassionate, steady support as you navigate anxiety, depression, family or relationship challenges, recovery from addiction, and the impacts of ADHD.
I tailor therapy to meet your individual needs and always consider cultural and social context. I also collaborate with other therapists to offer educational and support groups several times a year. Using a combination of physical, emotional, and cognitive tools, we’ll work to improve daily functioning, strengthen coping skills, and increase the joy and ease in your life.
I earned my Master’s in Counseling from Regis University, and I work with adults across a variety of life stages and transitions.
I offer individual, couples, premarital, marriage, family, child, and adolescent counseling. The environment is a non-judgmental, safe place of acceptance. I will walk along side and help you develop strength and peace. I offer ways that can be helpful in managing trauma, stress, and dealing with communication and trust within relationships. My goal is to help you access internal resources and make adjustments that can be helpful. Since 2013, my focus has been working with individuals who are dealing with a variety of issues, including trauma. I enjoy working with a diverse population including individuals who are dealing with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and grief, to develop a plan to bring positive changes.
I work with creative, self-aware adults navigating anxiety & overthinking, grief, ADHD & other neurodivergence, relationship struggles, and major life transitions and reinvention — people in the middle of real change.
Therapy with me is grounded, direct, and collaborative. We slow down enough to understand what’s happening beneath the surface — and then we figure out how to move you forward.
I have a master's degree in clinical mental health counseling and have worked in inpatient rehab, community mental health, and private practice. And I've had several other careers before this: massage therapist, editor and writer, writing instructor, park ranger, all of which inform how I show up as a therapist.
My goal is to assist you in achieving better mental health and quality of life. If you are experiencing difficulties and hope to gain relief and personal growth you will find that my approach is direct & supportive. My sessions typically include specific exercises & skill-building to foster emotional, mental, physical and spiritual wellness. I have experience in a variety of clinical settings including ministry, medical, crisis assessment & intervention, corrections & schools.
If you are looking to develop a greater understanding of yourself, a situation, or are looking for tools to better navigate life, we may be a fit.
