I am a certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over ten years of experience in the mental health field. I obtained my Bachelors in Neuroscience from Colorado College and my Masters in Psychiatric Nursing from University of Southern Maine. I also attended a residency through VA Boston and a fellowship through the Integrative Psychiatry Institute. I interweave traditional and functional psychiatry to help my clients achieve symptom relief and optimal mental wellness.
I’m Dr. Pearson, and I draw on over 30 years of counseling experience helping individuals, couples, marriages, families, teens, children, and organizations work through life’s challenges. I support clients dealing with depression, anxiety, stress, anger, relationship issues, family conflict, addiction and alcohol concerns, military-related stress, and major life transitions. My background includes working with people across many stages of life, including active-duty military members, veterans, DoD staff, military families, couples preparing for marriage, families under stress, and individuals seeking healthier ways to live at home, at work, and in their relationships. I believe therapy should offer hope, practical support, and a clear path toward healthy change.
Most of us haven’t made it through life without a few bruises. Sometimes we lose touch with ourselves along the way, shaped by what we’ve been through and the weight of those experiences.
That doesn’t mean anything is wrong with you. It means you adapted. Sometimes beautifully. Sometimes painfully. Often both.
Therapy is a space to slow down, get curious, and gently begin untangling what you’ve been carrying. Together, we can explore your story with compassion, reconnect with who you are beneath old patterns, and move toward a way of living that feels more aligned, grounded, and authentic.
I am a licensed professional counselor specialized in treating couples and individuals with anxiety and OCD. I possess a master's degree in clinical mental health from Adams State University and have completed advanced certification in pediatric ERP from The International OCD Foundation. I consult weekly with other therapists specializing in OCD and other co-occurring disorders.
I have found my own personal healing to be intimately connected to nature, and it is here that I believe that we can all begin to rediscover our intrinsic humanity and let go of those things that distract us from our higher selves. In my spare time, I work as an outdoor educator and manage my own private practice and guide Outdoor Retreats
I believe it is helpful and important to translate what is discussed in session and in telehealth meetings into lived experience and real change.
I specialize in helping clients navigate grief, relational anxiety, trauma, perfectionism, self-doubt, low self-esteem, and the pressures that hold them back from living fully. My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and deeply personal. With experience in working with PTSD, social anxiety, identity struggles, and the impact of divorce, I’m especially drawn to those who are ready to face challenges head-on to thrive, not just survive. I also offer Christian counseling for those wishing to integrate their faith, but all are welcome!
I’m a licensed mental health therapist who works with adolescents & adults! I believe therapy should feel empowering, collaborative, and genuinely supportive.
My approach is warm, open-minded, & nonjudgmental. I want you to feel safe being your full self in session, and I aim to meet you where you are while helping you grow in ways that feel meaningful and sustainable!
I earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology from Purdue University and my Master’s degree in Social Work from IUPUI, with a focus on addiction and mental health. My professional background includes two years in an outpatient mental health setting and one year working in residential treatment for substance use disorders. These experiences have shaped my understanding of how complex mental health can be—and how important it is to treat the whole person, not just symptoms.
I work with people experiencing anxiety, depression, addiction, grief, emotional regulation difficulties, and life transitions. I enjoy helping clients explore patterns, build coping skills, and reconnect with their strengths. My style is collaborative and flexible, and I like to be creative in sessions when it’s helpful—whether that’s through reflective exercises, visual tools, or thinking outside the box to help things “click.”
