I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 9 years of medical & behavioral health social work experience supporting a wide range of issues including life transitions, health issues, grief, caregiver stress, and emotional challenges. As an LCSW, I take a whole-person approach - recognizing that our mental health is shaped not just by what's happening inside us, but also by our relationships, environment, culture, and life experiences.
I’m Kat, a therapist with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, an LPCMH, and a certification in Alcohol and Drug Counseling. Life has taught me so much. After the school of hard knocks I decided to go to a real college and found that I was not only bright but I had a real talent for helping people. I completed my Ph.D. in clinical psychology specializing in neuropsychological assessments. I was lucky enough to complete a residency at the A. I Dupont Children's hospital. I have also worked with crises units, residential teen facilities, developmental clinics and the division of prevention and behavioral health through the state. I opened my own private practice in January 1999 where i specialized in therapy for children, teens and adults. Now after retiring with 20 years from the state, I am more relaxed and less pressured. I take my time with people, listen to their needs and work with them to help find solutions.

Hi! My name is Nicole Finazzo and I am the owner of GameTalk Therapy, LLC. Video Games + Mental Health, where Gamers and Therapists meet.
We provide Maryland/Delaware Clinical services and Global Subclinical services with the option to include video games in sessions.
As an LCSW with over a decade of experience supporting vulnerable kids, families, and adults, I’ve learned that healing happens when deep expertise meets genuine human connection. I specialize in substance use recovery and youth mental health, with degrees from the University of Delaware and West Chester University. My background is built for the "real world"—helping families navigate high-stakes systems like school IEP/504 meetings, disciplinary boards, hospital teams, and the foster care system.
I’m a firm believer that the world needs more laughter and that therapy doesn’t always have to feel heavy.
When I’m not in the office, I’m usually painting or recharging near the ocean or in nature. I bring that same creative, relatable presence to our sessions, ensuring you feel truly seen, supported, and—whenever possible—a little lighter.

Headway makes it easy to find support for your mental health — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Finding the right therapist in Delaware starts with getting clear on the type of support you need. Whether you're looking for help with anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, trauma, or life transitions, it helps to look for a licensed provider — such as an LPCMH, LCSW, or psychologist — who specializes in that area. Reading a provider's bio before booking can give you a sense of their approach and help you decide if they're a good match.
Delaware is a small state, but access to mental health care varies depending on where you live. Providers in Wilmington, Newark, and New Castle County are more concentrated, while residents in Kent and Sussex counties may have fewer in-person options. Virtual therapy can expand your choices significantly, connecting you with licensed Delaware providers regardless of your location in the state.
Therapy in Delaware can be expensive without insurance. Using your in-network benefits is one of the most reliable ways to reduce your out-of-pocket costs, and many people pay as low as $0 per session depending on their plan. On Headway, you can enter your insurance information to see estimated costs before you book, so there are no surprises when it comes to what you owe.
