Hi, I’m Kara Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Texas, and the founder of Unfiltered Clinical Services. I specialize in working with individuals navigating complex life stressors, trauma, and system involvement, including those connected to the legal or forensic system.

My approach to therapy is real, direct, and grounded in clinical expertise. I create a space where you don’t have to filter your experiences, we work through them together with honesty, structure, and intention. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, burnout, or major life transitions, I help you build insight, emotional regulation, and practical coping strategies that actually translate into your daily life.

In addition to therapy, I also provide forensic-focused services, including competency-related support and evaluations. My background in correctional and forensic mental health allows me to understand the intersection between mental health and the legal system, and I bring that perspective into both my clinical and evaluative work.

I have extensive experience in crisis intervention, behavioral health, and working with high-acuity populations. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, more in control, and more aligned with the life you’re trying to build.

I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with a background in psychology, nursing, and addiction counseling. I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, and life stressors.

My approach is compassionate, non-judgmental, and tailored to each individual. I believe mental health care should feel safe, supportive, and empowering—not intimidating. I take the time to truly listen and understand your concerns so we can create a plan that works for you.

That experience shaped how I see therapy, it’s not just clinical, it’s about feeling understood and not alone in what you’re going through.
