Sometimes life feels overwhelming not because of one big moment, but because the stress, worry, and emotional weight have slowly built over time. Anxiety, depression, family conflict, trauma, or major life changes can leave you feeling disconnected from yourself and the people you care about most. You don't have to navigate those challenges alone. I partner with individuals and families experiencing anxiety, depression, family issues, LGBTQIA+ concerns, and trauma so they can strengthen relationships, build resilience, and create a greater sense of peace in their everyday lives. Working with children, adolescents, adults, and families, I strive to create a warm, supportive environment where every person feels safe, respected, and empowered to grow.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience supporting individuals, adolescents, young adults, and families through challenging life experiences. I understand that opening up to someone you’ve never met can feel intimidating, and my goal is to create a calm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel safe sharing your story. I work with clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, complex trauma, relationship struggles, emotional overwhelm, and life transitions that can leave people feeling stuck or uncertain about how to move forward.
My experience includes working in private practice and community-based settings with adolescents and young adults who may be at risk or navigating difficult family dynamics, identity development, stress, and trauma-related challenges. I have also trained in play therapy and incorporate developmentally appropriate techniques when working with younger clients. I earned my Master’s degree in Social Work from the Tulane University School of Social Work and strongly believe the therapeutic relationship is the most important part of meaningful change. When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, reading, and walking my little black dog, Buddy!
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 16 years of experience supporting children, teens, adults, and families through life’s challenges. I value authenticity and believe healing starts in a safe, trusting relationship. My goal is to offer a warm, down-to-earth space where you feel heard, understood, and encouraged to grow. If it’s important to you, I’m also glad to incorporate Christian faith into our work together.
I believe in empathy and taking a realistic but human approach to counseling. We all fight battles behind the scenes and are deserving of grace and humility.
Life can feel overwhelming when challenges begin piling up faster than you can manage them. Whether you're struggling with substance use, ADHD, bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, or the stress of trying to keep everything together, therapy can provide a space to slow down, gain perspective, and move forward with greater confidence. I work with adolescents, adults, seniors, and couples who are feeling stuck, emotionally exhausted, or unsure how to create lasting change. Many of my clients come to therapy after trying to solve everything on their own, only to find themselves repeating the same patterns. My goal is to provide a supportive environment where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes. Together, we'll identify your strengths, clarify your goals, and build practical tools that help you create a healthier and more fulfilling life.
Hello, my name is Kelsey Giddings, and I am a dedicated counselor committed to helping individuals navigate life's challenges and achieve personal growth. My approach to counseling is based on creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered.
I have experience working with individuals facing a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress, relationship difficulties, life transitions, grief, self-esteem issues, and personal development. I believe that every person has unique strengths and the capacity for positive change, and I strive to help clients recognize and build upon those strengths.
My counseling style is compassionate, collaborative, and client-centered. I work alongside clients to identify goals, develop effective coping strategies, and gain greater insight into their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I value authenticity, empathy, and respect in the therapeutic relationship and believe that meaningful change occurs when clients feel supported and understood.
My goal is to help clients increase self-awareness, improve emotional well-being, strengthen relationships, and develop the skills needed to face challenges with confidence. I am honored to be part of each client's journey and look forward to supporting them as they work toward a healthier and more fulfilling life.
My path to psychiatric care is a little different from most. I spent over a decade as an Obstetrics Nurse before transitioning into psychiatric mental health — and that background deeply shapes how I show up for my clients. I understand the weight of life transitions, the complexity of the mind-body connection, and the importance of feeling truly supported. Now, as a PMHNP, I bring that same compassionate, whole-person perspective to mental health care.
If you are motivated to make positive changes in your life, I am motivated to help. I enjoy working with adults of all ages experiencing a range of issues. Often times we experience hardships in different ways and at different times in life. My core practice has been built around using cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and solution focused therapy approach to help others with overwhelming emotions.
We will work together to identify road blocks and unhelpful thoughts and behavior patterns that keep you from reaching your full potential, I specifically deal with issues regarding the following: Emotional Disorders, Behavioral Challenges, Loss and Grief, Anger Management, Social Skills, Low Self -Esteem and Relationships.
I truly believe that you are more than your past or current situation. I will be with you every step of the way. So are you ready to make your next step the right step? Please reach out if you are interested in working together to overcome the obstacles that are holding you back from becoming that best version of yourself.

Welcome. I’m glad you’re here.
Reaching out for support can feel overwhelming. I aim to create a safe, collaborative, and grounded space from the beginning. I meet clients where they are and move at a pace that feels manageable and respectful.
I work with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families experiencing anxiety, trauma, addiction, and relationship challenges. I also specialize in complex and developmental trauma.
I support clients in integrating their spiritual and cultural values into therapy when desired and clinically appropriate. I was born in New Orleans and bring a culturally informed perspective shaped by my Latina, Indigenous, Christian, and Sephardic Jewish backgrounds.
I became a therapist because I have a deep commitment to helping people recognize and build their own strengths, especially during periods of feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected. I understand that seeking support takes courage, and I work to create a space where clients feel heard, understood, and supported throughout the process.
I earned a Master of Social Work (MSW) and PhD from Tulane University, as well as a Master of Public Health (MPH) from Tulane University’s School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Louisiana and Texas, and a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Minnesota.
