As a licensed mental health counselor, I believe that mental well-being is foundational to living a fulfilling and connected life. Taking the step to begin therapy can be challenging, and I commend you for making that choice. Over the course of my career in college and community mental health, I’ve had the privilege of helping individuals navigate substance use, addiction, anxiety, grief, trauma, life transitions, and challenges with motivation. My goal is to create a compassionate, judgment-free environment where growth and healing can take root.

Welcome! I’m Carly, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who believes therapy should feel like a real, non-judgmental conversation . I work with individuals navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship stress, and life transitions where I take a down-to-earth, collaborative approach. My style is warm, honest, and practical—my goal is for you to feel supported, understood, and actually helped. I want our work to feel like a space where you can breathe, grow, and feel more like yourself again.”
Hello, my name is Carolann and I am looking forward to working with you! As human beings, we experience peaks and valleys within our lives that may result in various experiences and feelings. When things are going well, we can feel happy, content, thankful, and even elated. When things are not going well, we can feel down, sad, overwhelmed, and alone. We all deserve to live with the most happiness possible within our lives, but life often brings with it enormous unwanted challenges that result in bringing us down. If you are not feeling emotionally/mentally well as you desire, I am here to help you!
I have over 25-years’ experience in the behavioral health field using my various skills within providing individual, family, and couples therapy, clinical case management and clinical supervision. My therapeutic style is eclectic as I adapt my work in therapy sessions according to your needs. "Believing in yourself is a great first step!"
Some of my techniques include DBT, CBT, (TF-CBT), motivational interviewing, solution focused therapy, family dynamics, interpersonal/relational advocacy & therapy, and clinical case management. I am very client centered and desire for you to feel comfortable throughout our time on your therapeutic journey.
I’ve been working with women, children and families for over 15 years in individual counseling, group settings, and program development. My expertise lies in helping people understand their own emotional experience, to use words not violence, to cope, to reduce impulsive and compulsive behavior, to advocate for themselves.
I believe to live fully, we must feel. Intensely. Viscerally. Freely. To feel pride and pain, joy and frustration. To taste the freedoms of life, as well as its restraints. To reconcile thoughts, actions and emotions that are often at odds. To square all of this with culture, beliefs, and history. To live fully is when a sense of equity, equality and balance is awakened. To live fully is to gain perspective and know that you can weather all of it, and not be overcome by these complexities, but learn to integrate them, for a full life.
I believe therapy works best when there is a strong connection between therapist and client. My style is warm, genuine, and direct. I'll offer compassion and support, but I'll also help you recognize patterns that may be keeping you stuck.
As a trauma-informed therapist and EMDR specialist, I create a space where you can be yourself without judgment. Clients often tell me they feel comfortable with me quickly because I show up as a real person—not just a therapist.
I believe healing happens through both insight and action. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, confident, and empowered to create meaningful change in your life.
I have my master’s degree from Lesley University in Mental Health Counseling and Expressive Arts Therapy. I am certified as a mindfulness teacher, mediator, and yoga teacher. The mind-body connection is an important aspect of the approach I take with clients. I am also trained to provide Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP). Additionally, I’m a facilitator of Gender Equity and Reconciliation, so it informs my work with couples and relationship challenges. I specialize in working with adult individual clients and couples who experience anxiety, depression, adult and childhood trauma, relationship conflict/transitions, and mid-life transitions.
I bring a calm, steady, and thoughtful presence to the work. Clients often describe me as warm, gently humorous, and intellectually grounded. My practice is shaped by the teachings and wisdom of the Catholic faith, especially its understanding of the human person as a unity of body and soul, created for meaning and made for eternity. I find that many people of faith or traditional backgrounds want a therapist who respects those commitments and won’t dismiss or pathologize them.
I work especially well with anxiety, scrupulosity, family strain, and questions that sit at the crossroads of faith and daily life. I’m not drawn to trends or spiritual fads — I prefer a more timeless, human approach to healing — but clients of any or no religious background are also welcome. Above all, I want you to have a therapeutic space where you feel understood, respected, and able to explore the deeper parts of your story without pressure.
