Hi there! I am Sansan, a 9-year practitioner with ongoing honing clinical skills, big fan of chocolate ice-cream. I view the client-therapist relationship as a collaborative alliance. You are the shining center, and I shall cast you toward the spotlight. One of the bravest things you can do is check out a therapeutic journey with me!
I’ve been working with women, children and families for over 15 years in individual counseling, group settings, and program development. My expertise lies in helping people understand their own emotional experience, to use words not violence, to cope, to reduce impulsive and compulsive behavior, to advocate for themselves.
I believe to live fully, we must feel. Intensely. Viscerally. Freely. To feel pride and pain, joy and frustration. To taste the freedoms of life, as well as its restraints. To reconcile thoughts, actions and emotions that are often at odds. To square all of this with culture, beliefs, and history. To live fully is when a sense of equity, equality and balance is awakened. To live fully is to gain perspective and know that you can weather all of it, and not be overcome by these complexities, but learn to integrate them, for a full life.
Self-love is the idea that one must love oneself to achieve happiness and love from others. It always made me feel some type of way. To survive, we are forced to constantly grind; to hustle. If that wasn't enough, we face daily oppression, including racism, sexism, ableism, transphobia, homophobia, colorism, texturism, and more! Self-love seems more and more like a folk tale similar to the American Dream: a goal that was not created for people of the global majority.

I have my master’s degree from Lesley University in Mental Health Counseling and Expressive Arts Therapy. I am certified as a mindfulness teacher, mediator, and yoga teacher. The mind-body connection is an important aspect of the approach I take with clients. I am also trained to provide Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP). Additionally, I’m a facilitator of Gender Equity and Reconciliation, so it informs my work with couples and relationship challenges. I specialize in working with adult individual clients and couples who experience anxiety, depression, adult and childhood trauma, relationship conflict/transitions, and mid-life transitions.
For over a decade, I have worked with individuals struggling with a wide range of difficulties and acuity, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, and personality disorders. I work particularly well with clients struggling with worry, anxiety, anger, and shame. I prioritize creating a warm, non-judgmental space where my clients can increase awareness of their emotional and relational patterns, including how difficulties relate to our larger context.
As a licensed clinical social worker and psychotherapist, I realize that life's challenges can get in the way feeling connected to our lives and to our joys. Making the choice to seek therapy can be a difficult one and applaud you reaching out to do the work. I’ve been practicing for 7 years and my key focus working with all of my clients ages 18 to 99 is to help them achieve their best life.
I am a therapist who brings to counseling not only the expertise of helping families heal, transform and overcome, but also a solid understanding of life and the array of challenges that come with it. I have lived a full and interesting life in different cultures. I am blessed with curiosity and love for learning. I value each client I meet and I focus on understanding each person’s unique story and experience as well as their specific strengths prior to moving towards change.
