I have over 25 years’ experience and training in psychiatric rehabilitation sciences and approach therapy from a recovery model. I believe that with the right skills and supports people can do anything. I use a strengths-based approach; rather than focusing on diagnosis I focus on what the individual brings to therapy, what obstacles are present and the individual’s strengths. I work hard to facilitate a trusting relationship and create a non-judgmental space for my clients to grow and thrive. I utilize CBT, Relapse Prevention and Motivational Enhancement Therapy. I believe people are the expert in their recovery, and it is my job to help bring that expertise to the forefront of treatment.
You're the one people call when things fall apart. You're good at it — steady, competent, the person who knows what to do. And somewhere along the way you stopped having anywhere to put your own stuff.
So you can run the meeting, hold the crisis, answer the phone at 2 a.m. — and still not be able to make yourself open the mail. Competence and collapse live together far more often than anyone admits out loud.
I work with adults carrying that particular load: substance use and recovery, emotions that arrive at full volume with no dimmer switch, thoughts of self-harm or not wanting to be here, and the specific erosion that comes from caring for other people for a living. Helpers, clinicians, parents, first responders — people whose exhaustion doesn't have an obvious place to go. I work with teenagers too, often the ones in families like these.
My style is direct, warm, and collaborative. I'm not going to nod quietly for fifty minutes. We'll find what's actually driving things, build skills you can use on a Tuesday afternoon when it counts, and I'll tell you honestly what I'm seeing. You set the pace. I'll bring the structure.
I am a board certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with a background in inpatient care, including working with individuals in crisis and navigating complex mental health situations. I am now building an outpatient practice where I can offer consistent, ongoing support. Prescribing is central to my work, and I approach it thoughtfully, always looking for what will genuinely help each person over the long term. I am committed to being a steady, reliable presence for my clients as they work toward their goals.
I am a provider dedicated to empowering clients I work with through supportive health education and shared decision making. I enjoy discussing medication and therapy options. This is your health, and I want to support you in making your own informed decisions.
There is no weight/body shaming in my practice.
I gladly accept clients with neurodivergence.
I welcome all marginalized and disenfranchised individuals to my practice. I work closely with LGBTQIA+ communities especially gender diverse/trans communities. I have 23 years of experience in research and education around complex trauma/CPTSD.
As a white provider I participate in lifelong learning and activism to aid in dismantling racism in healthcare settings.
I work with people from all walks of life who are ready to look inward, explore patterns, and make meaningful change. Together, we’ll address your goals—whether that’s managing symptoms, improving relationships, or finding a greater sense of purpose and peace. I believe therapy works best when it’s grounded in trust, curiosity, and collaboration. Because diagnoses are never one-size-fits-all, I approach mental health as a specific set of experiences in a complex world. I show up as my genuine self to show that therapy can truly be for anyone. I’m ready to work together to make your life feel like a place you want to be.
I try my best to be a supportive therapist who believes deeply in the strength and resilience of my clients. I believe in creating a nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard and validated. With warmth and genuine care, it is my hope that my clients are able to navigate life’s challenges and discover the confidence and clarity within themselves to move forward.
