I have worked collectively for 31 years in public safety, crisis work, training and mental/chemical health. During my 16 years in law enforcement (LE) my experiences included being a Sergeant, SWAT Team Leader, Negotiator, Critical Incident Facilitator and Trainer. My experience in LE has led me to my passion in how trauma impacts our first responders. I have used my own experience as a first responder and woman in recovery, to transcend into my current role of a mental health and chemical health therapist working with not only first responders - police, fire, military, dispatchers, front line workers and corrections officers, but also any survivor, individual struggling with LGBT issues, addiction, relational struggles or trauma. I am able to be a conduit of change, sharing the journey with those who face the everyday stressful events, trauma or finding one's true identity. We are never alone. I am here to be a safe place and safe person to share and divide your pain. I am here to honor your experiences, share your success and build your resilience and healing.
Taking that initial step into therapy can be daunting. Sharing your story is a vulnerable position no doubt, and I am proud of you for even making the decision to seek help. Because I know how much courage this takes, I absolutely promise to honor you and walk alongside of you as you work towards your goals in counseling. In addition to helping individuals with anxiety and depression, I am certified in dialectical behavior therapy and practice accelerated resolution therapy. I also incorporate christian counseling, sand-tray therapy, mindfulness based-therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and incorporate narrative therapy techniques.
My professional background includes community mental health, university counseling, private practice, and working in multicultural settings.
I believe in meeting people where they are—with honesty, warmth, and a steady presence. My approach is calm and straightforward, focused on creating a space where you can be fully yourself.
I am a holder of a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Minnesota and a highly results-oriented multicultural therapist with over 10 years of experience. The value I bring to therapy is building a strong therapeutic relationship with my client. I have the skills, knowledge, and ability that are required as a therapist to gather comprehensive information during an assessment, which my client and I will utilize collaboratively to develop a supportive treatment plan and coping skills for the client to implement when their mental health symptoms exacerbate. I have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a good Knowledge of cultural differences.
Hi! My name is Alyssa and I am a licensed clinical social worker in Minnesota. I have been practicing therapy for the past 2 years with children, adolescents, and adults targeting anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem, and day to day stress. Pursuing therapy is vulnerable and takes effort, but you deserve the deep healing that comes through this process. I'm so glad you're here!
Welcome - I am so happy you're here. Whether you're navigating stress, relationships, or personal growth, my goal is to ensure you feel seen and empowered. My role is to walk alongside you as you discover new perspectives, strengths, and possibilities.
Welcome! I am licensed in both Minnesota and Wisconsin as a LICSW and LCSW, with 9 years of experience helping people in many settings, including crisis intervention services, acute mental health settings, outpatient mental health services, and as a Clinical Director of residential treatment facility. I believe everyone deserves support and that asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. My goal is to empower you as the champion of your own well-being. I work with individuals, families, and couples of all ages, and I am here to support you wherever you are on your journey.
As a licensed clinical psychotherapist with a background in personal training, I take an integrative approach to care that considers mental, physical, and emotional well-being. My work is grounded in helping clients build stability, resilience, and a greater sense of balance in their lives.
I primarily work with male clients from late adolescence through adulthood who are navigating obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety, body image concerns, and substance use. I aim to provide a structured, supportive environment where clients can better understand their experiences and develop effective, evidence-based strategies for change.
Hello, I’m Therese. I work with adults who may be feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or exhausted by patterns that no longer feel manageable.
I support individuals navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, chronic illness, and concerns related to eating disorders or disordered eating patterns.
I also have lots of experience helping people to live tobacco and/or nicotine free!
My approach is warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental.
I strive to create a calm, safe space where you can speak openly and feel understood.
If you are looking for someone who listens deeply, values connection, and takes a thoughtful, whole-person approach, I would be honored to support you.
For the past eighteen years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals, children, and families across both clinical and K–12 educational settings. My professional journey has included roles as a Professional School Counselor, 504 Coordinator/Learning Specialist, and Clinical Therapist, giving me a unique understanding of how emotional, cognitive, and learning needs intersect.
Over time, my view of mental health has expanded. I’ve always been interested in nutrition, movement, sleep, and lifestyle as contributors to emotional wellness. But everything shifted when I began integrating mindfulness, contemplative practices, and a deeper exploration of hormone health—both personally and professionally. Understanding how hormones influence mood, stress, and cognition opened an entirely new dimension of care.
I now approach therapy through a whole-person lens that honors the connection between mind, body, hormones, and environment.
