I hold as fundamental that every person deserves to feel genuinely met. My approach to psychotherapy is rooted in presence: the belief that healing unfolds in the quality of the space between therapist and client.
I practice with a deep attunement to the body, drawing on somatic awareness to help clients reconnect with the wisdom held in their nervous systems, and their narratives.
Alongside this, I bring a profound commitment to deep listening, not simply hearing words, but attending to the subtle rhythms of affect, silence, and sensation that often carry what language cannot.
I approach each person with the conviction that being truly seen and accepted is itself transformative; I strive to meet each client with warmth, curiosity, and an unwavering sense of their inherent worth.
I also hold cultural context as an essential lens, recognizing that our histories, identities, and communities shape how we experience ourselves, our pain, and what healing can look like. Whether working across language, culture, or lived experience, I create a therapeutic relationship that feels genuinely safe, attuned, and affirming of the whole person.
In an open, empathetic and judgement free space you will learn to look within and truly understand the struggles and symptoms you're facing and the effects they may be having on your body, mind and soul. By utilizing different therapeutic treatments (CBT, DBT, Mindfulness) we can work towards growth and living a full and meaningful life!
I offer a warm, understanding, and compassionate environment when working with patients. I have sixteen years experience in evidence-based therapy and deep expertise in providing counseling in the areas of trauma and wellness. I am certified in DBT and am seasoned in utilizing motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and holistic wellness in my work with patients. I am committed to helping patients find their strengths and utilize these strengths to live their best lives.

I hold a Master's Degree in Social Work from New York University's Silver School of Social work. Prior to earning my master's degree, I studied Music Therapy and Psychology at Berklee College of Music. After finishing my undergraduate Degree at Berklee I worked as a Music Therapist at Children's Hospital Los Angeles and then worked for two years at an inpatient Psychiatric Hospital in LA. Working as a Music Therapist was fulfilling but left me feeling like I wanted to help get at the root of my client's trauma and have a deeper impact on their lives. After finishing my Master's I worked as a family therapist for a preventative program funded by Child Protective Services, I then transitioned to a group practice based in Brooklyn serving a diverse client caseload. I have now been working in private practice for over four years working primarily with women with complex trauma, anxiety, depression, perfectionism and body-image related issues.

Headway makes it easy to find support for your mental health — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Finding the right therapist in New York starts with getting clear on the type of support you need. Whether you're looking for help with anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, or a major life transition, choosing a licensed provider who specializes in your area of concern can make a meaningful difference. Common provider types in New York include licensed mental health counselors (LMHCs), licensed clinical social workers (LCSWs), psychologists, and psychiatrists — each with different training and areas of focus.
New York has one of the largest concentrations of mental health providers in the country, which can make narrowing your options feel overwhelming. Consider what matters most to you: a provider's specialty, whether they offer in-person or virtual sessions, their location relative to your neighborhood or commute, and their availability. Reading a provider's bio before booking can help you understand their style and approach so you feel more confident going in.
Therapy in New York can be expensive out of pocket, but using your in-network insurance benefits is one of the most reliable ways to reduce costs. On Headway, you can enter your insurance information to see which providers are covered and get an estimated session cost before you book. Nationally, Headway partners with over 100 insurance plans, and many patients pay as low as $0 per visit depending on their plan and location.
