Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, or the particular weight of figuring out who you are in a world that doesn't always make that easy, you deserve a space where all of you is welcome. I'm an LCSW with 8 years in mental health and a proud member and ally of the LGBTQIA+ community. I’m a professional counselor specializing in trauma recovery.
I walk alongside complicated, creative, and misunderstood humans. I help them understand themselves clearly enough to make different choices: In relationships, identity, how they respond to stress.
Specializing in anxiety, sex therapy, and trauma recovery. I hold a Master’s in Counseling and Psychology, am EMDR-trained, and am currently pursuing my Sex Therapy Certification through the Sexual Health Alliance. My work focuses on helping clients heal from trauma, reduce anxiety, and cultivate emotional and sexual well-being through a compassionate, evidence-based approach. Before becoming a therapist, I built a strong background in business, leadership, and process improvement, which now helps me bring clarity, structure, and empowerment into the therapy space. I use these strengths to help clients recognize their capabilities and move toward meaningful change.
I work with teenagers and adults, addressing anxiety, trauma, sexual concerns, women’s issues, and attachment challenges. As an LGBTQIA+ ally, I strive to create a welcoming and affirming environment for every client.

Kayla, a licensed Clinical Social Worker with a background in community mental health, recognized the profound disparities in access to mental health care within BIPOC communities. Inspired by a vision of creating a space where healing is both inclusive and affordable, she founded Helen’s Project with the belief that everyone deserves access to quality mental health support, regardless of their background or financial situation.Helen’s Project operates on the principle that culturally competent and empathetic mental health care is essential for holistic well-being. The organization collaborates with a diverse team of mental health professionals who not only possess clinical expertise but also understand the unique cultural nuances and challenges faced by the BIPOC community.
As a seasoned therapist of 20 years, my experience has allowed me to work in various facets of mental health, including home-based therapy, residential care, school, inpatient and an outpatient clinic setting. I have treated all ages, from little ones to geriatric adults. For over the past decade, my treatment focus has been working with marginalized communities dealing with significant trauma and chronic health issues. I believe there is no problem that is too big or too insignificant, that therapy can’t help.
