Hi! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Virginia, and I’m passionate about supporting adults on their journey toward healing and well-being. With a master’s degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and over seven years of experience, I’ve had the privilege of helping individuals navigate challenges like anxiety, depression, and other life stressors.
As an EMDR-trained licensed clinical social worker, I work alongside clients to encourage vulnerability and build resiliency. I hold a double master's degree in social work and human sexuality, a trauma certificate, and Beck CBT certification. I work with individual adults and within relationships, using a healthy dose of humor and sensitivity.
If you've spent a long time handling everything on your own, the idea of opening up in therapy can feel uncomfortable — maybe even a little vulnerable. You might be stuck in your head, second-guessing yourself, or repeating patterns you can't quite break no matter how hard you try. You don't need to have it all figured out before you reach out. You just need a willingness to start, and I'll meet you right there.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I obtained a MSEd from Duquesne University, with a concentration in School Counseling. My mental health career started after graduating from Allegheny College with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. I went on to work in a group home with young adults, as a crisis technician at a 24/7 walk-in center, and as a mental health service coordinator for children and adolescents. In addition to my private practice counseling work, I have experience as a school counselor working with both elementary and middle school-aged students.
I am a strong advocate for individuals who feel misunderstood, marginalized, or impacted by stigma. I work with adults who are ready to stop suffering in silence and begin the process of healing and recovery from mental health concerns and/or substance use disorders.
I bring a warm, grounded and approachable presence to therapy. Clients often tell me I'm easy to talk to and that I create a space where they feel understood rather than judged. As someone who balances many roles in my own life, I understand what it feels like to carry stress, navigate transitions, and show up for others while trying to take care of yourself. That lived perspective helps me connect with clients who are overwhelmed, burnt out, or searching for clarity and stability.
I earned my undergraduate degree in Speech and Hearing Disorders and my master's degree in Professional Counseling. I currently serve as a Clinical Supervisor and Program Director in community mental health, where I oversee clinicians, strengthen treatment programs, and support whole-person care across school, home and community settings. This background gives me a solid understanding of both the emotional and practical challenges people face.
I work with adults, teens, caregivers, parents, college students, and helping professionals. Some of the treatment areas I frequently support include:
I am a Licensed Therapist with nearly 25 years of experience helping children, adolescents, and families build emotional resilience and create healthier relationships. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck in the same patterns, you do not have to navigate it alone. Having served as a clinical director in the past, I am deeply committed to providing direct care and creating a supportive environment where my clients can thrive.
