I'm a clinical psychologist residing in the mountains of Southwest Virginia, where I came to start my education in 1998 at Virginia Tech, and where I stayed to complete my graduate training at nearby Radford University. Since then, I've worked in community mental health, college counseling, and private practice, with a brief stint in neuropsychology along the way. I've also been an assistant professor at Radford and at Roanoke College. I think of myself as a generalist (meaning I like to work with a broad range of clients and issues), but have had the most experience with mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, substance use disorders, and LGBTQ+ issues. When not practicing, I devote my time to family, dogs, video games, tabletop RPGs, cooking, and badly writing electronic music.
I believe therapy works best when clients feel genuinely seen and supported. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance-related concerns, using a collaborative and evidence-based approach tailored to each individual. My goal is to help clients reconnect with themselves, build healthier patterns, and create meaningful change at their own pace.
Hi, I’m Bethany Hagy, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with about six years of experience working with children, teens, and adults. I earned my Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in May 2021.
I work with clients ages 6 through adulthood, supporting a wide range of concerns including trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, anger, impulse control, relationship challenges, and life or career transitions. Whether you’re navigating something specific or just feeling stuck, I aim to meet you where you are.
At the core of my work is the belief that everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, and supported. I strive to be a voice for those who feel like they don’t have one and a steady presence for those who need someone in their corner.
I offer both in-person and telehealth sessions to make therapy as accessible and comfortable as possible.
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Board Certified Counselor (NBCC), who works with children, adolescents, and adults to navigate life’s challenges in a supportive and meaningful way. I strive to create a warm, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel comfortable being yourself and exploring what’s on your mind.
I have experience helping clients manage anxiety, depression, trauma, anger, ADHD, relationship concerns, and major life transitions. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply looking for personal growth, I work collaboratively with you to better understand your experiences and build tools for lasting change.
Hi - I'm Gina, a licensed LCSW in Illinois with 15 years of professional work experience and a MSW from the University of Chicago. I have experience in helping clients (teens and adults) with stress, anxiety, chronic illnesses, midlife crisis, trauma, abuse, & coping with grief and loss. I use several treatment modalities to include Cognitive Behavioral, Trauma Informed Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Emotion-Focused Counseling. I also offer clinical supervision.
Looking to shift your perspective from "What is wrong with me" to "What happened to me"? My ideal client is someone who is willing to engage in an inner deep-dive into what they've experienced and survived. My area of specialty is treating Complex PTSD- particularly military/veterans/first responders, SOF/intelligence communities, women, and survivors of childhood and sexual trauma, and "high achievers". I also treat anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem.
I work with individual adults and certain families who are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, sad, lonely, sensitive, anxious, or defeated. If you're feeling heavy by everything going on, or feeling frantic, or having conflict in your relationships or are just feeling lost in any way, I would love to see if I can help! I also work with family units going through transition or strain, such as conflict between a parent and their adult child, or supporting parents who are experiencing difficult things with their child or teen.
I have a lot of experience helping people through loss, whether it's a breakup, losing a job, or a loved one - including loss of a pet, which is a specialty of mine. I have special interest in supporting other therapists, and also community organizers and activists who are engaged in social justice work. Many of my clients are trans or NB, and others are gay, lesbian, or queer. Poly and kink affirming.
I offer telehealth services to clients in California, Idaho, Washington, or Virginia.
