I'm Rebecca Colas, a bilingual (English/Haitian Creole) LCSW based in FL. Also, providing telehealth services to clients residing in VA. In my profession I have had the honor of supporting individuals across the lifespan. I help individuals navigate anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship issues, stress, and major life transitions and yes, sometimes we even laugh along the way. I have over 10 years of experience in a wide variety of clinical settings since obtaining my Master's degree and becoming a licensed clinician. I use a client centered approach that draws from my training in cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, dialectical behavioral therapy, exposure and response prevention, and a trauma-informed approach. I have worked with people struggling with addictions, a wide variety of anxiety related difficulties, ADHD, depression, and some bodily focused repetitive behaviors. I also have experience working with couples to address relationship needs.
I am licensed in Iowa, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Nevada, Iowa and Virginia with 7 years of professional work experience. I have a Master's degree in Social Work from Lehman College. I have experience in helping clients with managing stress and anxiety, motivation, self-esteem, and confidence, & career difficulties. I treat adults ages 18+.
