Allison L Schulte, LSCSW, is a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker who offers therapeutic services to adults, adolescents, and children experiencing depression, anxiety, cognitive impairments such as Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, personality disorders, grief and loss, significant stress, relationship difficulties, and other social or emotional concerns. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 12 years of experience in the social work field. I specialize in supporting people who struggle with addiction and their loved ones. I worked at CeDAR ( Center for Dependency, Addiction and Rehabilitation) in the inpatient setting. I ran the family program in addition to working closely with the patients who struggled with addiction. I have supported many people who struggle with depression, anxiety and grief and loss.
Additionally, I enjoy supporting parents, as parenthood is one of the most important and, at times, difficult journey we go through in adulthood. I am well versed in the Parenting with Love and Logic curriculum and have shared it with hundreds of families over the years.
I believe therapy works best when clients feel genuinely seen, heard and understood. I consider it a privilege to walk alongside my clients as they navigate challenges, discover and build upon their strengths and create the life they want to live.
Somewhere along the way, I learned to see the world through attachment-colored glasses. I enjoy exploring relationships, emotions, and our experience of life as a reflection of our attachment organization. I'm curious (in both senses!), love language, enjoy learning from my clients, and promise to make you laugh, if you're brave enough!
Welcome! Reaching out for support can feel like a big step, and I am glad you're here. Beginning therapy often takes courage, whether you're facing a specific challenge or simply feeling that something in your life needs attention or change. My hope is that you will find a warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where you feel respected, heard, and comfortable being yourself. I value the unique experiences that have shaped who you are and strive to meet you where you are in your journey. You don't have to have everything figured out before taking the first step.
