I’m Dr. Pearson, and I draw on over 30 years of counseling experience helping individuals, couples, marriages, families, teens, children, and organizations work through life’s challenges. I support clients dealing with depression, anxiety, stress, anger, relationship issues, family conflict, addiction and alcohol concerns, military-related stress, and major life transitions. My background includes working with people across many stages of life, including active-duty military members, veterans, DoD staff, military families, couples preparing for marriage, families under stress, and individuals seeking healthier ways to live at home, at work, and in their relationships. I believe therapy should offer hope, practical support, and a clear path toward healthy change.
I have been a licensed clinical social worker since 2019. I went to graduate school at Colorado State University and studied Social Work. I have years of experience in higher level care settings as a clinical leader, as well as a background in adolescent residential treatment and corrections. I am trained in EMDR and CPT, as well as CBT, DBT, ACT, and Motivational Interviewing. I specialize in working with people who have experienced trauma, mood and anxiety disorders, personality disorders, adolescents and young adults, and people going through major life transitions.
Welcome! I know reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step, and my hope is that from our first session you'll feel comfortable showing up exactly as you are. I'm warm, down-to-earth, and bring a sense of curiosity, humor, and authenticity into my work. I believe therapy doesn't have to feel overly clinical, it's a collaborative space where we can talk honestly about what's going on, celebrate your strengths, and work through the messy parts of being human together. I have experience supporting adults, couples, and teens through anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, stress, and substance use concerns, and I tailor our work to what feels most helpful and meaningful to you. Whether you're looking for practical tools, deeper self-understanding, or simply a place to exhale and be heard, I'd be honored to be part of your journey.
On the outside, you may look high-functioning —managing responsibilities, caring for others, showing up for work and relationships — while internally feeling overwhelmed, anxious, disconnected, or stuck in patterns that leave you drained—you don’t have to navigate it alone!
I believe healing is not about becoming someone completely different — it’s about reconnecting with the version of yourself that has been buried underneath stress, survival, anxiety, self-doubt, or past experiences.
Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. I would be honored to support you in the process.
Hi, I'm Nava Narayani. I'm a holistic psychotherapist with a Master's in Clinical Mental Health and a concentration in Buddhist Psychology and Contemplative Psychotherapy from Naropa University, with additional training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), marriage & family therapy, somatic therapy, and attachment theory. I came to this work through my own healing journey including recovery from sexual trauma, anxiety, and depression, which led me to travel the world seeking wisdom from diverse healing traditions before returning to the US to pursue graduate training that honored both the science of psychology and the depth of contemplative practice. Clients often tell me they feel genuinely seen in our work together, and I believe that's because I show up with both clinical skill and lived, embodied understanding of the human experience. My style is gentle yet direct, with warmth and empowerment to encourage your growth.
I am a therapist and school-based social worker who works with children, adolescents, and families. I specialize in supporting anxiety, emotional regulation, behavioral challenges, executive functioning, as well as school-related stress. With experience in both school and clinical settings, I understand how these challenges show up in everyday life. I also work closely with parents to build practical tools that support growth at home.

You might look like you have it together from the outside: steady job, functioning relationships, managing the day to day. But inside you're running on fumes, and you're tired of just pushing through. I work with young adults, college students, and adults navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, and the frustration of feeling stuck without knowing why. I'm also an Army veteran, and I bring firsthand experience of what pressure, resilience, and major transitions actually demand. If faith is part of how you make sense of life, it's welcome here. If it's not, that's fine too. Clients often tell me I'm surprisingly easy to talk to.
I believe we all have unique strengths that can help us navigate life’s challenges. Seeking out support through counseling is one way to re-discover and to cultivate those strengths. I work with adolescents and adults to assist them through life’s ups and downs. I am LGBTQ+ allied and affirming and I utilize a multicultural approach when working with clients. I welcome you to come as you are— I will meet you wherever you are at.
I’m really glad you’re here.
Many of the people I work with are used to being capable, thoughtful, and strong for others, but inside, something feels off. You might be dealing with anxiety, depression, burnout, or a sense that you’ve lost connection with yourself. Sometimes it’s not just about what’s happening right now, but patterns that have been quietly shaping your life for a long time.
