I’m a licensed therapist with master’s degrees in both Philosophy and Clinical Counseling from the University of Colorado Denver. My work is guided by values of openness, empathy, and curiosity, and I see therapy as a collaborative space for growth and self-discovery. I strive to create an environment where clients feel genuinely seen, supported, and empowered to make meaningful changes. I work with adults and adolescents navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, thought disorders, and life transitions, helping them build resilience and a deeper sense of fulfillment.
I specialize in supporting adolescents and young adults as they navigate the unique challenges of growing up, finding identity and new roles, and building resilience. Therapy with me is collaborative and supportive, and my approach is grounded in warmth, curiosity and genuine care for your story.
I work with creative, self-aware adults navigating anxiety & overthinking, grief, ADHD & other neurodivergence, relationship struggles, and major life transitions and reinvention — people in the middle of real change.
Therapy with me is grounded, direct, and collaborative. We slow down enough to understand what’s happening beneath the surface — and then we figure out how to move you forward.
I have a master's degree in clinical mental health counseling and have worked in inpatient rehab, community mental health, and private practice. And I've had several other careers before this: massage therapist, editor and writer, writing instructor, park ranger, all of which inform how I show up as a therapist.
I am accepting new clients.
We all need someone to listen to, understand, and support us, especially during times of uncertainty and transition. My goal is to create a safe, therapeutic space in which you feel comfortable to be yourself and share your fears, hopes, and struggles. As each client is a unique individual, I feel the process of counseling should be tailored to meet your specific needs. I believe you are the expert in your own life, and have the innate ability to heal.
I am a trauma-informed psychiatric nurse practitioner with training from Columbia University and Frontier Nursing University. My background includes psychiatric nursing across all levels of care, as well as six years in community health serving underserved and marginalized populations. I work with children, adolescents, and adults, and have extensive experience treating mood and anxiety disorders, trauma-related conditions, and eating disorders, along with psychotic disorders, substance use concerns, and personality-related challenges. My training allows me to integrate medical knowledge, functional and nutritional psychiatry, community services, and psychotherapy to provide comprehensive, personalized care.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who works primarily with children, adolescents, young adults, and families navigating emotional intensity, relational stress, and life transitions. My practice focuses on helping young people feel more regulated, understood, and confident in who they are, while supporting caregivers in strengthening connection and emotional safety at home.
I have training in attachment-based and experiential therapies, including Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), and I incorporate trauma-informed approaches to help clients build insight and resilience. I am especially passionate about supporting youth through nature-based therapy and providing affirming care for LGBTQ+ clients.
My background includes working with adolescents experiencing anxiety, depression, family conflict, identity exploration, and emotional dysregulation. I strive to create a space where clients feel safe, respected, and empowered to grow.
As a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP), I provide evidence-based medication management to clients seeking care. Since becoming a PMHNP, I have worked in different settings such as community health, substance use and women’s health. I have a true passion for working with the LGBTQ and BIPOC communities. I focus on empowering clients within these communities to help them understand possible treatments for their mental health concerns and provide a therapeutic approach to care.

I believe we all have unique strengths that can help us navigate life’s challenges. Seeking out support through counseling is one way to re-discover and to cultivate those strengths. I’m Thomas Moore, LPCC, a licensed professional clinical counselor providing therapy for individuals navigating anxiety, trauma, emotional overwhelm, identity development, and complex relational patterns. Many of the people I work with feel stuck in repeating cycles such as overthinking, people pleasing, emotional shutdown, intense reactions, or difficulty maintaining stable relationships even when they logically understand what they should do. My goal is to help you translate insight into real change.
My approach is structured and compassionate. I integrate evidence based methods including cognitive restructuring, emotional regulation training, interpersonal effectiveness skills, and trauma informed therapy. Sessions focus on understanding why your brain reacts the way it does and building practical tools you can actually use outside the therapy room. This is not only about talking through problems but learning how to respond differently when they show up in real life.
I work well with clients who want more than passive support and are ready to build skills, increase self awareness, and interrupt patterns that no longer serve them.
What clients should know before starting
Therapy with me is collaborative and active and you will learn strategies rather than only venting. We will work on understanding both the emotional and neurological side of your reactions. Sessions focus on present day functioning while also addressing past experiences that still affect you. I may gently challenge patterns when it supports growth while maintaining a supportive and respectful space. Progress often comes from small repeated changes rather than sudden breakthroughs.
If you are looking for therapy that combines validation with practical change, we will likely work well together.
