Life has taught me so much. After the school of hard knocks I decided to go to a real college and found that I was not only bright but I had a real talent for helping people. I completed my Ph.D. in clinical psychology specializing in neuropsychological assessments. I was lucky enough to complete a residency at the A. I Dupont Children's hospital. I have also worked with crises units, residential teen facilities, developmental clinics and the division of prevention and behavioral health through the state. I opened my own private practice in January 1999 where i specialized in therapy for children, teens and adults. Now after retiring with 20 years from the state, I am more relaxed and less pressured. I take my time with people, listen to their needs and work with them to help find solutions.
Apoyo especialmente a adultos(as) jóvenes (18 a 39 años) y adultos(as) de mediana edad (40 a 65 años); estudiantes universitarios(as), atletas, estudiantes-atletas, hispanohablantes, parejas y familias.
I am trained as a Professional Counselor. During my academic training, in addition to my degree, I am EMDR trained. After my academic training, I started working at MeadowWood Behavioral hospital, an acute psychiatric unit. I worked with adolescents, substance abuse, and adult clients. I have worked with the Kent county health department implementing substance abuse prevention programs in middle and high schools. I believe in the old proverb "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure". Since 2016 I have been working with the Community Behavioral health providing services in an outpatient setting.
