You do not have to have everything figured out before you reach out. You just have to take one
step. I am Sharon, a licensed therapist (LICSW) in Massachusetts specializing in trauma, grief,
and the weight of experiences that do not just go away on their own. I bring a collaborative,
trauma-informed approach built on one core belief: healing happens inside a relationship where
you feel genuinely heard, understood, and safe to go at your own pace. Much of my career has
been spent supporting Veterans and others navigating life's hardest terrain, and I would be
honored to walk alongside you on yours.
My approach is collaborative, client-centered, and trauma-informed. I believe that healing occurs within a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship, where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes. I work with each person to identify their strengths, build resilience, and develop practical strategies to achieve their goals.
I welcome adults from diverse backgrounds and life experiences and strive to provide an inclusive, nonjudgmental environment where clients can explore their concerns and move toward greater well-being.
Whether you are seeking support for past trauma, coping with grief, managing stress, or navigating a difficult life transition, I would be honored to work alongside you on your journey toward healing and growth.
You might feel misunderstood, overwhelmed by mood changes, or unsure how to navigate relationships in a way that feels natural or fulfilling. Whether you’re dealing with depression, bipolar patterns, or feeling “different” in social or emotional spaces, it can be exhausting trying to figure it out on your own.
I work with adults, including neurodivergent individuals, who want to better understand themselves, improve relationships, and feel more steady and connected in their daily lives. My goal is to create a space where you feel respected, supported, and able to be fully yourself.
Hi, I’m Deandra, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and EMDR-trained therapist with over 13 years of helping people navigate anxiety, trauma, and life’s tough transitions. My approach blends evidence-based techniques (like EMDR and CBT) with genuine compassion—because therapy shouldn’t feel cold or clinical.
After earning my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University, I worked in various settings including: private practice, domestic violence centers, hospitals, elementary to high school education, on-call crisis, detention and rehabilitation centers, specializing in women's and men's health, survivors of trauma, LGBTQ+ folks, or high-achievers battling burnout. I became EMDR-trained in response to the Pulse Night Club Tragedy in Orlando.
When I’m not working with clients, you’ll find me enjoying life by: spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, traveling, or exercising.
I believe healing thrives when you feel safe, understood, and occasionally challenged. If you’re ready for therapy that’s both professional and deeply human, let’s talk.
Deandra Hennemann M.S., LMHC-QS, EMDR-trained
Therapy with me is very human and genuine. I don’t just focus on what’s painful or stuck but help to highlight the ways in which my clients overcome life's punches. While I take this work seriously, I believe laughter can be healing and disarming in therapy.
I earned my Master’s degree in Counselor Education from Florida International University and have worked in a variety of settings, including the foster care system, residential treatment, and community mental health. My background includes supporting individuals navigating trauma, persistent mental health conditions, substance use, eating disorders, and major life transitions. I’ve also worked with veterans, individuals who are unhoused, and LGBTQIA2S+ clients.
In my practice, I work with clients experiencing anxiety, panic, depression, trauma, identity exploration, relationship challenges, and life transitions. I also support clients with PTSD, some OCD presentations, and concerns related to gender, sexuality, and queer identity. My work is trauma-informed, affirming, and rooted in helping clients feel both emotionally safe and genuinely understood.
My focus is to help individuals heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. We achieve this by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan. I want to walk alongside you and help to empower you. Together, we find hope.
I am dedicated to the mental health field and have been both a therapist and a clinical supervisor. My areas of knowledge include trauma, depression, grief, anxiety, adjustment disorder, substance abuse, ADHD, self-esteem issues, and life transition difficulties. I work with individuals, adolescents, couples, and families.
