Hello and I am so glad you are here! Since beginning my clinical practice in 2008 I have learned the foundation for healing lies in the therapeutic relationship, therefore our first few sessions are about building a foundation of trust. I focus on deeply listening to your story and understanding the specific concerns that led you here. I’ll share how my approach works—blending clinical expertise with a genuine, person-centered focus—and we’ll collaborate on a roadmap that feels right for you. My goal is to provide a judgement free space where you can become curious about your challenges, gain clarity, and begin moving toward the life you envision.
Hello, I’m Cara, a licensed clinical social worker with a master’s degree in social work. My approach is warm, down‐to‐earth, and collaborative. I believe therapy works best when it feels genuine and human. Together, we’ll explore your experiences, build on your strengths, and use practical, evidence‐based tools like coping strategies, mindset shifts, and boundary work. I make space for humor and real connection, combining these skills with deeper exploration of patterns, self‐compassion, and emotional insight to support lasting, meaningful change.
My full name is Kathleen, but my friends, colleagues, and clients call me Kat. Prior to completing my Masters of Science in Nursing through Walden University and achieving my Board Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in 2021, I worked at the bedside for 20 years as a Registered Nurse in a variety of care settings that included long term care, home care, ambulatory inpatient care for medically supervised management of a variety of withdrawal syndromes related to substance use disorders, and most recently as a critical care nurse in a Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU), both before and during the COVID pandemic. Throughout my bedside career, the inherent connection between mental and physical health has always been apparent to me, and working with people that struggle with substance use disorder helped me in making my decision to become a psychiatric specialized provider. I am passionate about psychiatry and assisting people in optimizing their mental health.
Welcome! I'm glad you're here. I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor here in the state of Maine. I specialize in meeting with teens (13+) and adults who need a supportive space to reflect on their goals. I specialize in working with those who have experienced trauma, struggle with anxiety, and are looking for support with building their self-esteem. I am trained in EMDR and we can explore if this may be a helpful approach for you.
If you've spent a long time handling everything on your own, the idea of opening up in therapy can feel uncomfortable — maybe even a little vulnerable. You might be stuck in your head, second-guessing yourself, or repeating patterns you can't quite break no matter how hard you try. You don't need to have it all figured out before you reach out. You just need a willingness to start, and I'll meet you right there.
Hello! I am accepting new clients at this time.
My name is Angelica, and I am a clinical-level social worker. I have been working in the field of social services for the past 12 years.
After completing my MSW, I started as a school-based social worker, and I have been doing this ever since. I love being able to help people and hear their stories. Everyone has a story to tell, and someone should be there to support and listen.
I think of myself as a responsive, strengths-based, and empathetic counselor. I think everyone deserves grace, and often everyone is going through something that no one knows about. I have had the privilege to work with a wide variety of people, including youth, adults, elderly, adolescents, people with disabilities, and many other people in between. From crisis intervention services, to individual, to group-based therapy, and social skills groups. I have dabbled in a bit of everything in the field so far. I like getting to know the person I am working with, and then coming up with a plan together about what can help!
Welcome!
Therapy offers us the opportunity to make sense of our questions, deepen our values, and take authorship of our narratives. As a licensed clinical social worker, I hope to support you in that work.
I serve clients experiencing anxiety, life transitions, grief, and relationship concerns, and I am passionate about working with survivors of intimate partner violence and sexual violence. I carry a Master of Social Work from the University of New England, and I have certifications in Reproductive Health Leadership and Aging. This spring, I am pursuing certification in perinatal mental health.
Are you feeling overwhelmed, lost, or emotionally stuck? I want to hear your story and assist you in your journey towards healing. Currently I am providing therapy to children (4 years and older), adolescents, and adults.
