My name is Jylian Jackson, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. As a therapist, I am dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with compassion, authenticity, and evidence-based care. I work with emerging adults, adolescents, and children experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD symptoms, trauma, relationship difficulties, stress, and major life transitions.
I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor working with young adults, adults, navigating anxiety, low mood, ADHD, relationship dynamics, and life transitions. Many of my clients come in feeling stuck in patterns, struggling with self-confidence, or wanting to set clearer boundaries. I aim to create a space where you feel understood while we work toward meaningful, lasting change. I offer both virtual and in-person sessions.
As a single mom of color, I have witnessed the extreme societal pressure placed on mothers to choose between their career or their children; leaving little room to even provide attention to their own self care. This ignited a passion within me to use my skills to support women to navigate through the chaos. My goal is to work with those women who may need help coping through these very real everyday stressors. Not a mom? That's ok! I can also empathize with the pressure placed on women of color in the workplace to work so much harder than their male counterparts. Its my hope to create a safe space for you to explore these feelings.
It can be challenging at times for women to have access to a therapist who can empathize with their experiences. Through a strengths based approach, I would love to share my personal experience with being a woman of color, a mom, a Christian, as well as a goal oriented professional in non-profit leadership and mental health.
Through this journey, I want you to find a sense of fulfillment, purpose, and self worth and I would be honored to take that walk with you. Our sessions will not be for me to "social work" you, but for you to unload some of the pressure and burden to make the ride a bit easier. No matter what it feels like, you got this... you can do this!
I am a licensed mental health professional dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care that supports clients in creating meaningful and lasting change. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in respect for each person’s unique experiences and strengths.
Thanks for visiting my page. I’m Esteban, and I bring over 30 years of experience in the human services field and more than a decade as a licensed therapist. I work with children, adolescents, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, bipolar disorder, panic disorders, grief and loss, relationship struggles, identity questions, and stress management. I also support clients exploring men’s issues and LGBTQIA+ experiences, always with an open, affirming, and respectful perspective.
At the heart of my work is a simple goal: helping people reach their highest potential in life. Many of the people I work with want to better understand their past experiences, make sense of their emotions, and begin making meaningful changes. My style is holistic, open-minded, and affirming, and I believe everyone deserves a space where they feel respected and supported.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck in despair, or wondering how things got so heavy, you’re not alone. Reaching out for support can feel like one of the hardest steps—but it can also be the beginning of real change. I’m here to walk that path with you.
I’m a licensed mental health counselor serving clients across New York through telehealth. I specialize in working with individuals navigating substance use, depression, and anxiety. Many of the people I work with come to therapy feeling hopeless or discouraged, unsure if things can truly get better. Together, we focus on rebuilding hope, strengthening resilience, and creating practical steps toward the life you want.
My approach is caring, direct, and encouraging. I believe in meeting you with compassion while also gently challenging you to grow. Therapy with me is a space where you can be honest about your struggles without judgment—and also be reminded of your strengths. Your challenges do not define you. They are part of your story, but they are not the whole story.
I entered the mental health field because I genuinely wanted to make a difference. I want people to know they are not alone and that mental health challenges don’t have to prevent them from succeeding, growing, or reaching their goals. Change is possible. Healing is possible. And you are capable of more than you may feel right now.
Outside of my work, I enjoy spending time with God, being with my family, and crafting—activities that keep me grounded and connected. I bring that same sense of presence and authenticity into the therapy space.
If you’re ready to regain your hope, strength, and resilience, I would be honored to support you. Let’s take the next step together

Finding the right therapist in New York starts with getting clear on the type of support you need. Whether you're looking for help with anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, or a major life transition, choosing a licensed provider who specializes in your area of concern can make a meaningful difference. Common provider types in New York include licensed mental health counselors (LMHCs), licensed clinical social workers (LCSWs), psychologists, and psychiatrists — each with different training and areas of focus.
New York has one of the largest concentrations of mental health providers in the country, which can make narrowing your options feel overwhelming. Consider what matters most to you: a provider's specialty, whether they offer in-person or virtual sessions, their location relative to your neighborhood or commute, and their availability. Reading a provider's bio before booking can help you understand their style and approach so you feel more confident going in.
Therapy in New York can be expensive out of pocket, but using your in-network insurance benefits is one of the most reliable ways to reduce costs. On Headway, you can enter your insurance information to see which providers are covered and get an estimated session cost before you book. Nationally, Headway partners with over 100 insurance plans, and many patients pay as low as $0 per visit depending on their plan and location.
