Hello! My name is Elizabeth Derr and I am located here in OKC. Currently I offer ADHD testing services in office and telehealth therapy services. I have been a therapist for over 12 years and work best with neurodivergent adults, anxiety related disorders as well as depression/mood disorders.
I believe therapy works best when we’re actively working together toward meaningful change. Growth can feel uncomfortable at times, but with practice, new ways of thinking and relating become more natural and empowering. My approach is collaborative, genuine, and grounded in respect. My primary modalities are Cognitive Behavioral and Attachment Based, but I tailor therapy to each person’s needs, drawing from a variety of methods to help you build insight, confidence, and resilience. I value a strong therapeutic relationship where you feel supported and understood — and also encouraged to step into the life you want.
I enjoy working with individuals of various lifestyles and feel my ability to remain accepting, respectful, and genuine are my personal strengths. I am also honored as an advisor to the 5th Edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders which is the foremost diagnostic tool utilized by all mental health professionals around the world.
If you’re ready to make meaningful changes in your life, I’m here to help you move forward with clarity and purpose. To read more about my client experiences, you can visit my profile on Healthgrades.
I’m a licensed therapist with a background in Marriage and Family Therapy. I work with individuals, couples and families who are navigating depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, or just feeling stuck. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and grounded in research—I’m here to help you make sense of what you’re going through and find a path forward. Whether you're facing a tough transition or looking to strengthen your emotional well-being, we’ll work together to create meaningful change.
As a therapist of nearly 20 years I believe prioritizing mental health is key to happiness and stability in life. Seeking help can be one of the hardest parts, I congratulate you for taking that first step! My main focus is helping individuals struggling with anxiety and mood disorders and life changes.
After four decades of psychiatric nursing, I transitioned to become a psychiatric nurse practitioner because I am passionate about providing mental health counseling to help people live their best lives. My experience encompasses working with a diverse range of patients facing both acute and chronic mental and behavioral health conditions. In my spare time, I enjoy various fiber arts, and spending time outdoors playing in the dirt. I am married to an amazing man who retired after a long career as a psychiatric social worker. Together, we have seven children and nine absolutely incredible grandchildren.
