I have 25 years of experience working in-patient and out-patient treatment. I have worked with individuals with general mood disorders and addiction. I also use group therapy to connect others with similar issues to enable connections that the clients may not otherwise have. I believe that my clients prefer the warm, comfortable style that I use.
I am a Trauma informed, EMDR trained licensed therapist. I work with a diverse range of teen as well as adult individual clients. Helping others to be the best version of themselves is my passion in life. There is nothing more rewarding to me than seeing a client make progress. Embarking into therapy takes courage and I am inspired by my clients everyday. Their perseverance and strength always impress me and I am grateful for the opportunity to walk alongside them and possibly you on your journey. I do not take your trust for granted and I would be honored if you entrust your personal story and experiences with me.
Welcome to Advanced Psychiatric Solution, a premier mental health practice specializing in comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and evidence-based medication management for adults, teens, and children. My path into healthcare began over 20 years ago, a journey built on the belief that true healing happens best when you feel genuinely heard and your mind and body are treated as one, rather than a collection of isolated symptoms. I hold dual board certifications, having graduated from the University of Pittsburgh as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and Herzing University as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). Additionally, my background includes years of specialized clinical training as an Oncology Nurse Practitioner. This medical expertise gives me a profound, holistic understanding of how chronic illnesses, cancer treatments, and physical diagnoses intersect with psychiatric symptoms. Whether navigating the emotional trauma, anxiety, and depression that accompanies an oncology journey, or addressing everyday mental health hurdles, I bring clinical authority and deep empathy to safely to your care.

I'm Dr. Pascual Chen, a licensed clinical psychologist and the founder of Clarity Psychological Services in Wexford, PA. For over a decade, I've had the privilege of walking with individuals, couples, and families through life's hardest seasons — anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship struggles, and the search for meaning and direction.
I earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology from Wheaton College in Illinois, and my Master of Science and Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) from Hofstra University in New York. I'm also a certified trauma therapist and a certified school psychologist in Pennsylvania.
My approach is integrative and evidence-based. I draw from, but not limited to, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), emotionally-focused therapy (EFT), solution-focused therapy, and the Gottman Method for couples — always tailored to the person in front of me. For clients who want it, I also offer faith-integrated Christian counseling, weaving prayer, Scripture, and a Christian understanding of healing alongside proven clinical care. It's always available, never imposed.
More than anything, I believe healing begins with feeling understood. My goal is to bring you hope, insight, and practical steps toward the life you were created to live.
A highly experienced psychotherapist, he remains compassionate to others and completely focused on patient health and well-being. At the college level he graduated "summa cum laude" and at the doctoral level he graduated "with distinction".
He enjoys these pastimes: helping others, reading nearly all genres, cooking, children, and banana splits. He is an honorably discharged US Army veteran, married with an adult son, and soon expecting a first grandchild. He's pleased with positive relations with his four brothers and three sisters. You will be able to tell he likes and respects people in his life.
He considers it an honor to help you.
Hello, I’m Regina, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with over 20 years of nursing experience caring for individuals and families across diverse backgrounds and stages of life. My nursing career has allowed me to support patients through some of their most vulnerable moments, including years working in hospice and end-of-life care, emergency medicine, addictions, and mental health. These experiences have shaped my compassionate, holistic approach to psychiatric care.
I specialize in helping individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, life transitions, grief and loss, ADHD, and addiction concerns, including alcohol use, substance use, and gambling. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard, valued, and actively involved in your care.
At Grace Psychiatry & Wellness, I believe mental health treatment should be personalized and collaborative. Together, we will explore your concerns, develop an evidence-based treatment plan, and work toward improving your overall wellness and quality of life.
Hi, I’m a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I graduated from Drexel University with my Master's degree in Nursing. I then completed my Post-Graduate Certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I have over twenty years of experience working in healthcare. Psych has always been my passion. My experiences encompass working with clients across the life span, including Child and Adolescents, Adult, and Geriatric patient populations. I’ve provided services to clients presenting with many psychiatric disorders, such as Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, and more. I’m in the belief that mental health wellbeing is a priority. Human beings are resilient. Holistic care is the key to promoting better patient outcomes. Headway makes it easier to find support for overcoming addiction — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Finding addiction therapists in Pittsburgh starts with naming the kind of support that fits your needs. Addiction care can include support for alcohol use, drug use, behavioral addictions, relapse prevention, and co-occurring concerns like anxiety, depression, or trauma. As you compare therapists, look for listed experience with substance use, counseling and recovery guidance, individual drug counseling, or therapy for substance use disorder. Some therapists use approaches like motivational interviewing or cognitive behavioral therapy for substance use. Some people may also work with a prescriber as part of their care team.
Pittsburgh has many therapy options across neighborhoods like Shadyside, Squirrel Hill, Oakland, and the South Side, as well as nearby communities across Allegheny County. Your best fit may depend on practical details, including appointment times, whether virtual care is available, and whether the therapist is accepting new patients. Recovery can include changes over time, so it helps to look for a therapist who describes a clear, non-judgmental approach and experience with harm reduction frameworks. Read therapist bios before booking to see how they describe their style, specialty experience, and what sessions may look like.
Therapy in Pittsburgh can be a significant investment without insurance. Using in-network insurance is one of the most reliable ways to reduce session costs and see your estimated cost before you book. Headway helps you search for addiction therapists, check available insurance coverage for your specific plan, explore virtual or in-person appointments, and find providers who are accepting new patients. You can compare profiles, filter by preferences, and book directly when you’re ready.
