My approach is rooted in trust, empathy, curiosity, and genuine care. I believe that meaningful change begins in a safe, supportive relationship where you feel seen and understood. I strive to create an environment where you can explore your thoughts and emotions freely, without judgment. I have had experience working with all ages- spanning from private practice, community mental health, school social work / school based therapy, and residential treatment centers. While I love working with children and adolescents, I also provide space for adults and parents.
I have been active in the mental health community since 2019. During this journey, I have had the honor of working with clients from an array of backgrounds and various life experiences including and not limited to survivors of sexual violence, LGBTQ+ individuals, individuals experiencing housing instability, and overall assisting people as they navigate their personal healing journey.
My approach to therapy involves an interactive and collaborative style towards self discovery. I prefer to join in with my clients to achieve therapeutic goals that enhance their quality of life. I believe a therapy relationship is designed to facilitate the desired change or seeks to direct these efforts as appropriate for the client and counselor.
Immediate availability for new patients! I prescribe medicine, supplements, minerals, and/or herbs to children and adults who struggle with anxiety, autism, ADHD (in children), OCD, depression, addiction, bipolar etc. I will work with your therapist or help find one who is a good fit for you!
I am committed to helping adults see that change is possible with help and support.
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) who has been practicing since 2013. I provide virtual therapy for women, LGBTQ+ adults, and neurodivergent clients who are navigating anxiety, burnout, identity exploration, and the lingering impact of past relational or religious wounds and other trauma.
I focus on helping thoughtful, sensitive adults better understand their inner world, build healthier boundaries, and feel more aligned in their daily lives.
My name is Alethia King, and I am a License Clinical Mental Health Counselor and an Advanced Certified Grief Specialist. I specialize in working with adults who struggle with grief and anxiety issues. I have 24 years of clinical experience. I help by providing education and support in the grief process. I received my BA degree in Psychology from Columbia College and my MA degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lenoir-Rhyne University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) dedicated to supporting adult women through life’s challenges with a compassionate, empowering, and trauma-informed approach. I have experience working with women in a correctional facility and in a private practice setting. I have also worked with adolescent males in the juvenile justice system, adolescent girls, and children in a school setting.
My educational background is in both Clinical and Community Psychology. I conceptualize and intervene with clients with an understanding of individual and environmental contributing factors. Additionally, I have significant experiences working with people across the life span and in various settings. I bring this rich experience to my work with clients.
