Hello there, my number one priority is to see clients within 1 to 5 business days to begin the process of assisting them with a hot topic known as "Life-ing." Today, I consider myself blessed because I find it rewarding in seeing clients reach their maximum potential. In addition to my mental health background for over 28 years, I have my own life experiences, coupled with being married to a minister, motherhood, and personal trauma, which have proven to be beneficial in my scope of practice.
I have done extensive work with grief/loss, anxiety, relational, premarital, substance use, and Christian Counseling.
La vida se mueve en olas. Life moves in waves. I started Olas Therapy because I am passionate about supporting children, teens, adults, and families in navigating trauma, big emotions, and identity exploration with a holistic and personalized approach- helping clients ride life’s waves with resilience and connection. I provide services in Spanish and English, and I love working with kids of all ages. I am particularly interested in supporting caregivers in navigating parental challenges to foster a healthy parent-child relationship and promoting healthy sexuality across the lifespan.

Hello, My name is Ricky Ramsey, I Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 13 years of experience in individual counseling.
Hello! I have over 25 years of experience walking alongside individuals through both challenging and transformative moments. I believe people heal best when they feel genuinely seen, understood, and supported, and I strive to create a therapeutic space where clients can safely explore their emotions, experiences, and personal growth without judgment.
I help individuals build resilience, expand their capacity to tolerate distress, and strengthen emotional regulation skills that support long-term well-being. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to each person’s unique needs and goals. I believe meaningful change happens over time, and I work to support clients in growing at a pace that feels both safe and empowering.
I help clients regain their sense of power, purpose, and passion in every aspect of their lives. I believe each one of us have been given the ability to transform our lives to where we are not just living, we are thriving! I hope to help clients by connecting them to what they truly want out of their relationships, starting with how they see and relate to self.
Counseling is actually my 2nd career, doing I.T. Support was my 1st.
While working in that field, I told people that I did just as much counseling as I did I.T. work. Many people came to see me feeling anxious, angry, stressed, overwhelmed, or in grief because of technology issues.
I quickly learned that there were two issues going on:
· One was technical and the other was emotional.
· One needed repair and the other needed relief.
So, I addressed the person and their emotions first and then addressed their I.T. issues. I spent thousands of hours sitting with people, fixing their technology and giving space for their emotions and...I loved it!
I didn’t realize it then, but these were my first steps which would lead me into pursuing a career as a therapist. Now my work is in Emotional Support and instead of addressing hardware and software, I get to address brainware and heartware.
