I’m Derrick Martinez, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker passionate about helping men, teen boys, and couples build stronger connections, confidence, and clarity in their lives. I know how difficult it can feel to carry the weight of expectations, whether it’s navigating identity, balancing relationships, or facing challenges with communication and intimacy. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you can be yourself and explore what matters most.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin and my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor, where I specialized in integrated mental health and substance use. Over the past seven years, I’ve worked in schools, universities, community mental health agencies, and federally qualified health centers, supporting adolescents, young adults, and adults from diverse backgrounds.
I specialize in helping men and teen boys develop emotional insight, self-esteem, and purpose, and I work closely with couples to strengthen intimacy, improve communication, and rebuild trust. Currently, I am advancing my training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy to deepen my work with relationships.

Life can get heavy—whether you’re juggling family dynamics, relationship stress, parenting challenges, or just trying to stay afloat. Maybe you’ve always been the dependable one, the person everyone else leans on, but you’re starting to realize it’s time to focus on yourself. You want less tension, more connection, and practical tools that actually make a difference. You’re not after a quick fix—you just want someone real to help you sort things out and walk with you through the hard parts.
Hi, I’m Tyler Lange. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas and Colorado, as well as an LPC Supervisor in Texas. For more than a decade, I’ve had the privilege of supporting children, families, and individuals through seasons of challenge, growth, and renewal. My work—as a School Counselor, school‐based mental health professional, and now a Clinical Mental Health Therapist—has continually reinforced my belief in the importance of compassion, dignity, and genuine human connection.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology and my master’s degree in Counselor Education from Southeastern Louisiana University, and later attended Capella University’s PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision program to obtain my supervisor credential. While my training has shaped my clinical approach, the people I’ve walked alongside have shaped my purpose.
At the center of my work is a quiet but steady conviction: every person carries inherent worth, and healing becomes possible when they are met with patience, grace, and a safe place to be fully themselves. I strive to create that kind of space—one where people feel supported, understood, and free to move toward wholeness at their own pace.
I work with individuals, couples, and families who are ready for something different. They have spent hours analyzing the problem on their own, and they are open to professional help. I have spent over a decade studying and practicing how to create change. I offer therapy that is built upon a conversation that helps - one that is focused on discovering solutions.
I strive to provide a space that welcomes vulnerability and growth. I will collaborate with you to increase self-awareness, communication, and understanding of both you and the world around you. My goal is to help you connect with all parts of yourself and find ways to navigate through life with ease. I have experience in working with LGBT+ populations and their families. My professional experience includes working in higher levels of care such as partial and inpatient hospitals.
I have been a therapist for over 25 years providing individual, couple, family, and group therapy. I am very passionate about helping others see their individual strengths and unique gifts to help guide them and navigate challenges in life. The most valuable experience I enjoy seeing is the transformation of a person healing and growing to their desired outcome. I believe every person has the ability to achieve their highest potential.
I have worked in both private practice and residential treatment settings with people who have experienced relational trauma. While my recent work has been adolescents in foster care, I have worked with adults of all ages with a variety of presenting issues. I enjoy helping teens and family members impacted by substance use, people struggling with attachment issues and families navigating adoption or the foster care system.
