I am an LPC and a LCDC in the state of Texas and have years of professional experience with addiction, anxiety, depression, and trauma counseling with individuals and families. Life can feel overwhelming when anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, or major life transitions begin affecting every part of your life. You may be exhausted from trying to hold everything together, questioning your next step, or feeling like you've lost touch with the person you want to be. Change doesn't happen overnight, but it can begin with one conversation. I partner with individuals experiencing depression, grief and loss, relationship issues, identity issues, and trauma so they can rebuild confidence, strengthen their relationships, and create a life that feels more balanced, connected, and fulfilling. Working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families, I strive to create a compassionate, collaborative environment where you feel understood, respected, and empowered to grow.
“Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms—to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way.”
― Viktor E. Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning
I am a firm believer that life–even the best of lives– has moments of pain and suffering; however great or small. Some come to pass quickly and float away from our consciousness, while others stay with us, shape us, change our relationships and the way we see the world. The rest of our life is filled with moments dependent on how we cope with, process and accept those moments of pain or suffering.
I’m passionate about helping people who often feel misunderstood or overlooked — especially those navigating substance use and mental health challenges. Over the years, I’ve seen how stigma can prevent people from seeking help, and I strive to create a safe, judgment-free space where clients can feel comfortable being themselves.
I am an eclectic therapist that combines emotion-focused strategies with psychotherapeutic evidence-based approaches. The underlying principles in her approach are that treating anxiety, depression, relationship dysfunction, self-esteem and more can be traced to experiences, beliefs of shame, trauma, and other negative core beliefs in an individual. Finding out these aspects of a person’s life, naming them, and working through them are components of her counseling process.
