As a social worker with seven years of experience in the field, I strive to work from an open, curious, and empowering approach in therapy. I've worked with a number of clients who struggle with various issues including anxiety, depression, and Bipolar Disorder among other things. I recognize the lasting effects trauma can have on a person and specialize in treating it, specifically using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who works with adults and provides integrated mental health care that combines psychotherapy and medication management. My work is solution-oriented, empowering, and open-minded, with a focus on helping clients move beyond symptom management and toward meaningful, lasting change.
My style is warm, grounded, and direct. I value collaboration and curiosity, and I approach care as a partnership rather than something that is done to you. I aim to support clients while also encouraging them to take an active role in understanding their patterns, building resilience, and reclaiming their mental and emotional health.
I am an LCSW. I am a trauma and neurodivergent-informed therapist that specializes in EMDR and DBT. I am good at building relationships with clients and helping them feel safe. I use humor and direct communication to overcome barriers with clients. I use things like art, culture, media, etc. to reach clients where they are at. I am non-binary and work on LGBT issues with clients. I am also a person of color, so I work with cultural trauma.
Lesa is passionate about helping clients find peace. She is honored to be able to participate in each client’s journey to growth and healing. She is a licensed clinical social worker who approaches therapy through an attachment perspective, believing in the healing power of safe connection. She especially finds joy in helping people gain a greater understanding of themselves and what matters most to them and experience wholehearted living. She respects the perseverance it takes to continue trying in the midst of significant pain and Lesa is committed to helping with hope and healing. She is currently seeing clients in-person and via telehealth.
I’m a psychiatric nurse practitioner doctorally trained at the University of Utah, with eight years of mental healthcare experience including a year-long fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry.
I primarily work with children and teens, but also love meeting with young adults, parents, and fellow healthcare workers.
Outside of work, I love spending time in the mountains with my husband, son and very hyper dog.
