Hello! A little bit about me...
My name is Holly Tudor, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Richmond, Virginia. I have over ten years of experience in the mental health field and hold a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work in a variety of clinical settings, including acute, in-home, residential, and outpatient environments. I have worked with children, teens, adults, and families, and have extensive training in evidence-based, trauma-informed care.
I bring over 30 years of experience in community mental health and private practice, providing trauma-informed care grounded in both clinical expertise and authentic human connection. My work focuses on helping individuals heal from complex trauma, attachment wounds, dissociation, and long-standing relational patterns that impact their sense of self and overall well-being.
I received my Master's in Mental Health Counseling in 2016, worked for a substance abuse IOP until 2021 and have since been in private practice. I specialize in substance abuse but also work with many seeking help for anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship issues, etc.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 23 years of clinical experience and an approved supervisor to counseling residents. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Mental Health Psychology in 2002 and a Master’s degree in Community/Clinical Psychology from Norfolk State University in 2005. Before going into private practice, I spent several years working in community services supporting client mental health journeys. I currently work with adults, families, and adolescents. My specialty includes treating culturally diverse patients, depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions/adjustment, sexual abuse, anger management, and serious mental illness.
In supporting a new client, we will begin at the client's point of readiness. We will address the client's mental health needs/symptoms with CBT, mindfulness certifications/other required clinical skills.
I work with adults from all backgrounds and experiences. I will help you achieve your goals, reduce symptoms, and develop the life you envision.
Welcome! I’m Heather, a Licensed Professional Counselor and board-approved clinical supervisor, and I’m dedicated to providing thoughtful, client-centered care and professional guidance. If you’re feeling anxious, overwhelmed, burnt out, or stuck in an overthinking spiral, you’re not alone. Many teens and young adults feel pressure to keep up with school, work, relationships, and expectations, while quietly struggling with motivation, confidence, and emotional exhaustion. I enjoy working with Gen Z clients navigating anxiety, ADHD, depression, perfectionism, people-pleasing, and stress related to school or life transitions. My style is highly relational and collaborative, offering a supportive space to explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences at your own pace, recognizing that there is no one-size-fits-all in therapy.
