Hi! Thanks for stopping by my profile! I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in Wisconsin. I am warm, honest, and down to earth human. I work with clients who are navigating life and all its experiences, big and small, all are welcome. Some things I come across often are: anxiety, neurodivergence (all kinds), stress, burnout, life transitions, relationship concerns, and the emotional weight of trying to hold everything together during complicated times.
I’m a licensed clinical psychologist who works with kids, teens, and adults navigating ADHD, anxiety, life transitions, stress, autism, executive functioning challenges, late or complex diagnosis, and the kinds of stuck thoughts and big feelings that get in the way of daily life. My approach is developmental, neuroscience-informed, and neurodiversity-affirming, which is a fancy way of saying I'm more interested in how your brain actually works than in what's "wrong" with it.
Through Headway, I provide insurance-billed therapy. I also offer comprehensive evaluations (ADHD, autism, and the Exam Readiness Profile for high-stakes testing), parent and professional consultations, clinical supervision, and trainings through my practice at dropsych.com, plus self-paced courses, workbooks, and family resources at stickybrainstudio.org.
Starting therapy takes courage, and I want you to know that you do not have to have everything figured out before reaching out. You may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, anxious, discouraged, or simply tired of carrying everything on your own. Wherever you are in your process, my goal is to meet you there with warmth, curiosity, and respect.
I work with clients navigating anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, ADHD, grief, relationship challenges, substance use, eating concerns, stress, sleep difficulties, mood changes, and major life transitions. I believe that healing is not about becoming a different person. It is about reconnecting with yourself, understanding your patterns, and building the tools to move through life with more confidence, clarity, and self-compassion.
In our work together, you can expect a supportive space where you feel heard, encouraged, and gently challenged when needed. I bring both compassion and practical guidance to therapy, helping you better understand what is keeping you stuck while also creating realistic steps toward change.
I work with adults experiencing anxiety, chronic stress, burnout, life transitions, chronic health concerns using a lifestyle medicine–informed approach. Many clients feel overwhelmed managing both mental health symptoms and physical conditions, while balancing work, relationships, and caregiving demands. Often high-functioning yet exhausted, they carry a significant mental and physical load and feel disconnected from their needs or direction. This work focuses on restoring stability by addressing the behavioral and lifestyle factors that influence overall health.
I am licensed in both mental health and substance use treatment in the state of Wisconsin, and have spent over 20 years working with a wide range of people and concerns in many different settings. I understand that reaching out for support can feel vulnerable, and my goal is to offer a grounded, respectful space where you feel heard, accepted, and supported at your own pace.
I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2012. I utilize a client centered approach in assisting my clients to remove barriers preventing them from living their best life. I utilize a variety of tools and encourage my clients to practice self-advocacy and be an active participant in decision making in their therapy. After all you are the expert on you.
I believe healing happens best in relationships built on authenticity, curiosity, and compassion. Whether we're talking in the office or walking a wooded trail, my approach is grounded, collaborative, and tailored to you.
I've long been drawn to the dance between the psychological and the spiritual. As I journeyed my own early path of discovery, it lead me to studies in psychology, classic literature, and theology in undergraduate, and then later Buddhist psychotherapy and meditation, and depth psychology in graduate school. I received my graduate degree from Naropa University's Transpersonal Counseling Psychology program in 2003, and am licensed in WI (LPC) and MN (LPCC). I am a practitioner of shamatha-vipassyana meditation, and have a well-established background of working for various therapy group practices in MN and WI.
Education
2003, Naropa University, MA in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology.
1998, College of St. Benedict, BA in Psychology; 1997 study abroad in Beibei, China.
As a lifelong student of East and West methodologies, I blend Person-Centered, CBT, Gestalt, depth psychology, somatic, and Buddhist psychology views. I also take a trauma-informed, IFS-informed, EFT-informed approach. I spent many years exploring Christian mysticism and theology before finding my own path and practice in Tibetan Buddhism for the past 20+ years, and I welcome heartfelt conversations about any psycho-spiritual path.
I’m a licensed psychologist with more than three decades of experience in psychotherapy, psychological assessment, and trauma-informed care. My background includes extensive work with adults, adolescents, and children across private practice, medical settings, and the VA’s PTSD clinic, where I provided both treatment and disability evaluations. I completed my doctorate at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in an APA-approved Counseling Psychology program and an APA-accredited internship with broad training in assessment, psychotherapy, and multidisciplinary collaboration. I specialize in trauma, mood and anxiety disorders, dissociation, family-of-origin issues, and helping people untangle long-standing patterns that keep them stuck. My style is warm, open-minded, and direct, meeting people right where they are while helping them move toward where they want to be.
