I have a deep commitment to seeing people flourish in relationship to themselves, and to others. For many of us, we have some sense of what makes relationships great and what makes them terrible. Knowing and experiencing what makes great relationships stronger, and what turns terrible relationships around, is where I can work alongside you. As someone who has been stepped in Attachment science, I love allowing for people to make more coherent sense of their internal world, to build or restore bonds with others.
I veiw the path of a human life span, as each of us interact and peerceives the environment around us in our own unique way. My goal is to help clients look at their options, evaluate choices towarda healthier outcome. My work has involved in helping clients toward building better communication between couples, family members, and individual relationships. It is my belief that counseling / psychotherapy can provide a safe place where personal challenges can be processed, and finding choices toward enhancing the quality of life and improve relationships.
I attended San Diego State University for my undergraduate studies and received my masters in Social Work from Loma Linda University. I have provided services in various settings; community mental health clinics, non-profits, private sector and inpatient psychiatric units. I also work with a diverse population and have experience providing support to children, adolescents, adults, couples and families.
My name is Rene and I’m a down-to-earth therapist who specializes in substance use and trauma, and I love helping people feel hopeful again during some of the hardest and most confusing chapters of their lives. I also support clients navigating anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, family and relationship struggles, stress, and women’s issues. I especially enjoy working with women rebuilding identity and confidence after difficult life experiences.
People often tell me they feel comfortable with me quickly. My goal is simple: to meet you exactly where you are — whether that’s overwhelmed, stuck, healing, hopeful, or unsure — and help you find freedom, opportunity, and solid ground again. If faith or Christian counseling is meaningful to you, I’m happy to incorporate spirituality into our work together. And if not — that’s perfectly okay too. Therapy with me is about your values and your journey.
I love doing this work! I consider it a great privilege to walk alongside my clients, to partner with them, support them in their journey, and witness their growth.
I believe healing happens in the context of safe and supportive relationships. At Hope Restored Counseling, my goal is to walk alongside you with compassion and understanding as you work through life’s challenges. Whether you’re working through relationship struggles, stress, or personal growth, I provide a nonjudgmental space where you can feel truly heard. My clients often share that they feel encouraged, cared for, and empowered in our work together. I want you to know that you don’t have to do this alone—there is hope, and I’m here to help you restore it.
