I am board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with specialized expertise in integrative psychiatric care. At Rising Lotus Integrative Psychiatry we combine traditional mental health treatments with holistic and alternative approaches. I offer a comprehensive, individualized approach to mental wellness. With training in both conventional psychiatric treatments and integrative modalities, I work with patients to create balanced treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapies, mindfulness practices, nutrition counseling, and lifestyle interventions. I am firm believer in the mind-body connection, I will incorporate techniques such as meditation, yoga, acupuncture, hormone balance/restoration, and nutrition adjustments alongside psychiatric medications, tailoring each plan to fit the unique needs and preferences of the individual.

I am a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I have been a nurse for over 20 years and the majority of my background comes from working in public health and child protective services. I am passionate about providing care that is both clinically effective and deeply human. My work is rooted in an evidence based approach, which means I rely on proven treatments, research and best practices to guide care.

Like many of my clients, I struggled a lot and felt like life was harder then it should be. Having done the work of therapy myself, I am now a licensed professional counselor. Before entering private practice, I spent thousands of hours in various different practices working with clients that struggled with depression, and anxiety. I enjoy working with men, women, teens and adults (14-45). I've found that undiagnosed neurodiverse clients and folks with traumatic family backgrounds are frequently attracted to me and so I've been putting more emphasis on study and research in these areas.

I offer counseling to adults navigating anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, relationship struggles, life transitions, and grief and loss. I am passionate about supporting women in particular. My clients range from college students to women reclaiming their identity and direction in midlife and beyond. I specialize in fostering deeper self-knowledge and self-compassion through mindfulness techniques, Internal Family Systems, and art therapy. These approaches offer a compassionate, trauma-informed, and acceptance-based framework for inner inquiry, helping to improve emotional regulation and alleviate the severity of symptoms.

I hold a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with an emphasis in Somatic Therapy. I have worked for numerous years as a coach, therapist, and instructor for mental health centers and now private practice. I have specific training to trauma and see clients from a wide scope of backgrounds including anxiety, depression, postpartum issues, relationship issues, and life transitions and grief and loss.
