Hi! I'm Dr. Miller, a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with over 30 years of experience in mental health and wellness care. My journey has taken me from earning my BSN at Barry University to my MSN and FNP at the University of Miami, a Post-Master's as a Psych NP from the University of Alabama, and a Doctorate in Nursing Practice from FIU. That depth of training means I bring both clinical expertise and genuine, hard-earned wisdom to every person I work with.

I work with teens and adults navigating anxiety, working through trauma, life transitions, and the challenges that come with parenting and the postpartum period. I understand how overwhelming it can feel when your mind won't slow down or when life doesn't look the way you expected. My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical- I want you to feel supported. We will focus on building insight, developing tools that feel like they will really work, and exploring what is important to you.

With many years of experience in behavioral health field, including leadership roles in psychiatric care, I bring a thoughtful and comprehensive approach to treatment. My goal is to create a safe and supportive space where you feel comfortable sharing your concerns. Together, we develop a personalized treatment plan focused on stability, emotional wellness, and improving quality of life.

I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 25 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. I'm also a Certified School Counselor — which means I've spent decades not just in therapy offices, but inside schools, alongside kids and families navigating the real, daily pressures of growing up, parenting, and finding your way.

That breadth of experience shapes everything about how I work. I understand what it looks like when anxiety shows up in a classroom, when ADHD affects a family's daily life, or when an eating disorder hides behind achievement. I’m a Board-Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and proud U.S. Army veteran committed to helping adults find balance and healing. I provide evidence-based, compassionate care for anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress-related conditions. My goal is to create a calm, respectful environment where every client—veteran or civilian—feels seen, supported, and understood. I've spent over 21 years helping people navigate some of life's toughest situations — substance use, trauma, domestic violence, anger, and the kind of challenges that make it hard to see a way forward. I spent the last decade working in court-ordered programs with clients who didn't choose to be in therapy, and I got them to stay. First thing I tell every client: I am your advocate. I'm real, I'm relatable, and yes, I will make you laugh! I'm a seasoned Black woman from New York City, and my NYC energy definitely comes through. Clients describe me as someone who can break through that wall of resistance many people walk in with and I'm proud of that.
