Born and raised in a healthcare family, I grew up at the dinner table hearing about all things, medicine and healthcare. I went into the field on my own for the first time at 18 years old and have never left. My first degree is a Bachelor of Science In Applied Psychology. I then went and completed a Bachelor of Nursing followed by my Master’s in Nursing and my Post Masters Certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health. I have extensive experience working with children and adolescence as well as adults. I am an engaged active listener, and I excel at making sure patients feel comfortable and heard.
I am an RN with over 18 years of experience in nursing, specializing in mental health care. I am also a PMHNP-BC, and I obtained my first degree from Grand Canyon University and my Masters from Walden University. I manage clients across the lifespan and use a holistic and patient-centered approach.
I have been a therapist for about twenty years and have worked with children, adolescents and adults. I most often work with clients that have anxiety, depression, adhd, mood disorders, and history of trauma.
My passion and area of expertise lie in supporting children and teens through challenging transitions and the stresses of everyday life. I started my mental health career in 2012 as a behavioral health professional supporting children and families in their homes and communities. From 2015 to 2022 I held several positions in residential treatment including direct support provider, clinical case manager, and program clinician. I spent two years working as a middle school social worker helping students develop social-emotional skills and advocating for their educational needs. Since then I have been providing outpatient counseling through a community-based health center to individuals of all ages.
