I am open and honest with all my clients. I am a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I have over 5 years of experience treating patients in the outpatient and telehealth settings. I have experience treating patients throughout the lifespan but particularly enjoy treating women who often are too busy to take time to focus on their own mental health. I am very honest and direct with my patients and enjoy empowering them to help themselves. I am open-minded and love to listen to my patients tell me their story without fear of judgement. I have background in working both in community mental health and for a large privately owned mental health organization. I fully believe in the importance in taking a collaborative approach to treating my patients.
I am specializing in treating the mental health of adolescent females and women ages 16 and up. Focused areas of treatment include maternal mental health, post-partum mental health, ADHD treatment, bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, grief and trauma.
I am also focusing on treating healthcare professionals, first responders and busy individuals who often cannot get to an appointment due to their schedule requires working Monday thru Friday until 5pm. I am offering non-traditional appointment times to accommodate those needing a non-traditional appointment time. Mental health is just as important as physical health and should be treated as such.
Welcome. I’m a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) with a Master of Social Work and a degree in psychology from The Ohio State University. With over five years of experience in mental and behavioral health—including four years of providing therapy—I offer a safe, inclusive space for healing and growth. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, self-harm, suicidal ideation, or identity-related challenges, I’m here to help you feel seen, supported, and empowered in your journey.
Hi there! Thank you for considering me as someone you'd have come alongside you on this leg of your journey! Here's some background about me to help determine if I'm a good fit. Let's start with a classic, I took psychology classes in high school and really enjoyed it! Pair that with a passion for helping others and a love for science, landing on studying psychology in college felt like a natural option. I completed my bachelor's degree in psychology in 2014 then went on to work in healthcare and volunteering in a mental healthcare setting until I started graduate school in 2016. At that same time, I began working as community based case manager helping people with a variety of mental health challenges like anxiety, depression and trauma. My experience in these areas expanded when I began counseling as an intern in 2018. The following year, I began as a licensed therapist, in private practice, where I've continued helping folks navigate stress, relationship dynamics, setting boundaries, processing and making sense of past experiences and holding space for thoughts, feelings, emotions and figuring out ways to create the changes they want in their lives.
Counseling for me is about companionship! Companions are with you through the good and the not-so-good. The most important thing in counseling is creating a relationship where people can feel and think how they want to about their experience within the relationship because whether we are stepping in the right or wrong direction we are ever growing and changing. Everyone perceives life through a different lens. Biological, physiological, and environmental variables influence those perspectives in different domains of people’s lives. All ages with: Anxiety, Depression, Addictions, Schizo and Mood Spectrum, Paraphallic, and Trauma.
