This is a telehealth practice. As a personal choice, the use of narcotics or other controlled (DEA) meds are minimal, if any. I've been a psych nurse practitioner for at least 14yrs. I believe in managing conditions with psychiatric and non-psychiatric treatment modalities that are evidence based. The use of the least amount of meds, at lower doses that does the healing of symptoms, is an active process involving the client and based on the reported experiences. Safety is the core of my practice and my job is to help clients understand internal signals and how to prevent another crisis.

Over time my work has become increasingly focused on helping clients build healthier relationships with themselves and others. I have a deep conviction that emotional wellbeing is closely connected to how we relate to ourselves and the people around us. I work best with driven people experiencing a big change. Perhaps, despite your best efforts, things aren’t working out as you’d hoped. Or perhaps you’ve gotten all you wanted and it doesn’t satisfy. I work often with D1 athletes & pros (as well as their family members). I love supporting the romantic partners of people in the public eye. Though I often work with athletes I am not a Sports Psych. In fact, I don’t even follow sports! I’m here for the rest of your life and identity.
I received my master degree from the University of Memphis in May 2009. I immediately started working with a variety of clientele. I have extensive experience with trauma related care, attachment trauma, anxiety disorders, depression, substance abuse disorders, grief/bereavement and life transitions. I have worked in the community, in schools, worked with clients privately and worked with clients in therapeutic/recovery courts. I have experience with children, adolescents, and adults ranging from ages 5-80. I have three certifications in trauma informed care.
Loving someone who struggles with addiction can quietly take over your whole life. You worry constantly, you smooth things over, you set a boundary and then talk yourself right out of it, and somewhere along the way you lose track of your own needs. If that's you, I understand it in a way that goes beyond training. Alongside my years as a counselor, I've spent more than two decades in the Al-Anon community, and I work with adults who are worn down from caring for, worrying about, or trying to fix someone they love. You don't have to keep carrying it alone.
