With over 25 years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I specialize in supporting individuals navigating grief and loss, life transitions, chronic illness, trauma (including first responders), aging-related concerns, and members of the agricultural and farming communities.
I provide telehealth services across multiple states, I’m here to support you on your journey toward healing and growth.
Hi, I’m Anna. I believe mental health is one of the most universal—and most human—experiences we share. Everyone deserves the opportunity to feel grounded, confident, and at peace. My passion for this work comes from seeing how transformative therapy can be when people are given the space and support to truly understand themselves.
With over five years of experience in the treatment field, including three years as a Clinical Director, I specialize in substance use, acute mental health, and life transitions. I work with adults navigating stress, uncertainty, and major turning points, helping them gain insight and move toward stability and self-awareness.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked in the business world, which taught me the value of clear communication, structure, and solution-oriented thinking. I bring those same principles into therapy—blending empathy with practicality to help you take achievable steps toward a life that feels more stable and fulfilling.
I’ve got tools to help you feel more balanced and in control! I work with adults and I’m passionate about supporting first responders (IAFF-trained and always learning!) and anyone navigating addiction. I have a masters in clinical counseling with a specialization in trauma and addiction. Think of me as your partner in creating calm, confidence, and positive change—in a totally judgment-free zone.
My specialty is adult love and creating bonding experiences in couples and families. I’m a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and an Addiction Specialist (LCAS). Helping people repair and reconnect after times of distress is my passion. I help people heal by increasing security, closeness and emotional connection in relationships. I help couples better understand their partners’ emotional responses, as well as their own. I also enjoy helping couples overcome addiction in relationships.
I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with six years of experience helping adults navigate ADHD, mood disorders, anxiety, substance use concerns, and personality disorders. I trained at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing and have a background in neuroscience research, which shapes my practical, brain-based approach to care.
I believe people do best when they’re treated as whole humans—not just a diagnosis. I enjoy breaking down complex mental health concepts into clear, bite-sized explanations so patients understand why they feel the way they do and how treatment helps. My style is collaborative, direct, and supportive.
I’m comfortable working with complex or long-standing symptoms and don’t shy away from difficult cases. I also enjoy working with creatives in the Nashville community and understand the unique pressures that can come with creative work. My goal is to help patients feel empowered, informed, and supported as they move toward meaningful, sustainable change.
I am a licensed counselor in Georgia and Tennessee with over 25 years of professional counseling experience. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work in 1992 and my Master’s Degree in Community Counseling from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2000. I later completed my Post‐Master’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling Certification at Freed‐Hardeman University in 2019. I have worked in private practice and as a crisis assessor, supporting adults, couples, children, and families. I specialize in anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, grief and loss, family conflict, and crisis intervention. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in evidence‐based practices.
Hello and thank you for taking the time to reach out! Do you ever have those days when things are especially difficult?? When "Life is Lifing" as we say?? Many of the people that I meet and work with are looking for support with mental health, substance abuse, and/or management of traumatic events. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker as well as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I'm also a Mom of three and a dog Mom of two who likes to practice what I preach in my own life. As a strong believer in the mental/physical health connection, a lot of my focus is incorporating integrated health into our treatment approach. I also support an intimate hospice team in my area so I am comfortable having uncomfortable conversations about life. If you are interesting in giving therapy a shot, or just learning a bit more about my approach, feel free to reach out and we'll see where it takes us.

Headway makes it easier to find support for overcoming addiction — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Finding the right addiction therapist in Nashville starts with clarifying the type of support you need. If you're looking for help with substance use, alcohol use, or a behavioral addiction, a licensed therapist or psychiatrist with training in addiction can work with you on approaches like cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, or dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). Some providers also offer medication management alongside talk therapy, which can be especially relevant for substance use concerns.
Nashville has a wide range of mental health providers, from East Nashville to Bellevue to surrounding areas like Franklin and Murfreesboro. When comparing providers, consider their specialty experience, whether they offer virtual or in-person sessions, and how their approach aligns with your goals. Reading a provider's bio before booking can help you understand their style and decide if they're a good match.
Addiction therapy in Nashville can be costly out of pocket, but using in-network insurance coverage is one of the most reliable ways to reduce what you pay per session. On Headway, you can enter your insurance information to see estimated session costs before you book — and many patients pay as low as $0 per visit.
