I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas with nearly 30 years of experience in the mental health field. I completed my Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology (1995–1997) at Mississippi College, graduating with Special Distinction. My experience includes work within psychiatric hospitals, the prison system, and specialized Christian‐based care through my internship at Charter Hospital in North Jackson, Mississippi where I served within the Rapha division. After relocating to Texas in 2001, I transitioned into managed care, where I spent almost 25 years conducting clinical reviews with psychiatric and substance abuse facilities nationwide, supporting treatment teams, and maintaining direct patient contact.
Experienced in providing care, interventions designed to promote mental and physical health. Empathetic, culturally competent and results oriented.
If you've been searching for a therapist who truly gets where you're coming from, whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, family tension, ADHD, or struggling with substances, I want you to feel at home here from the first conversation. I work with individuals, couples, and families across all stages of life, including children, teens, and older adults. I offer sessions in both English and Spanish, and I warmly welcome clients of faith who want their beliefs to be a real part of the healing process.
This work found me early. I grew up watching my parents serve their community with unconditional love, and as a teenager I realized that was the path for me too. Over 10 years into this calling, that hasn't changed.
I've spent my career sitting with people in some of their hardest moments — crisis units, inpatient settings, disability rehabilitation, and corporate healthcare programs. I've also been a foster parent, which gave me a firsthand understanding of what it looks like when families are stretched past their limits and still trying to hold it together.I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, which means I'm especially equipped to work with clients managing the mental health side of physical health — chronic illness, disability, and the identity shifts that come with them. My work is grounded in the belief that people are more resilient than they realize, and that the right support makes that resilience accessible.
I’m Alison (Ali) Pugh, a Clinical Social Worker, USAF veteran, and mom of two. I help adults who are juggling work, family, caregiving, or major life changes that feel heavier than they look on the surface. If you’re feeling stretched thin, overwhelmed, or unsure of your next step, you’re in the right place. My style is calm, collaborative, and steady. There’s no pressure to have the perfect words.
