In my family, we have Neurodivergence, some anxiety, depression, grief, life stages, chronic illnesses and conditions and pain issues.
My belief: You are the Key to your Solutions!
I came to counseling after realizing at age 16 that I was meant to be counselor. Since then, working as a Sp. Ed. teacher and a regular education and Sp. Ed. counselor and in IOP therapy have added up while I persisted to make my dream come true to be an LPC. Yes, dreams do come true!
Personally, I offer experience and life perspective learned from nearly all the eras of our human experience and I hope to share it with my clients.
Therapies and techniques, and plans are customized just for you: Person-Centered, Cognitive - Behavioral, Solution Focused, and Self - Expression and Mindfulness through art and nature. All are holistically for your mind, body and spirit benefit.
Hi, I’m Cindy and I want you to know this: you don’t have to go through it alone. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply tired of carrying it all, therapy can be a space to exhale, reflect, and gently begin again.
I come to this work not only as a clinician but as a human being shaped by my own lived experience. I’m a proud Trinidadian-American who migrated to the U.S. at a young age, and I know what it’s like to navigate different worlds, expectations, and identities. That background helps me show up with empathy, cultural sensitivity, and deep respect for the unique path each client walks.
I’m currently pursuing my Doctorate in Social Work at Simmons University, and my clinical experience has focused on supporting adults through anxiety, trauma, life transitions, burnout, and issues related to identity and belonging. I have a special heart for clients who are used to being the strong ones, the caregivers, the first-gen trailblazers, the ones who hold space for everyone else.
In our work together, you can expect warmth, honesty, and collaboration. I use a relational and strengths-based approach, integrating tools from CBT, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care, but more importantly, I meet you where you are, honoring your pace and your story.
This is your space to feel seen, to feel safe, and to explore what healing could look like for you. If you’re ready to begin, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
Hi There, thank you for stopping by my page! I am a LPC who practices virtually in Texas. I see individuals ( 18 +) and couples. I have been practicing for over 4 years in this field through a holistic, mindfulness based, and trauma informed lens.
Throughout life's journey, all of us face difficult challenges as well as times of reflection and growth. I have a passion for helping others through difficult times and love working with clients helping to facilitate insight and healing in their personal journey. In 2017, I opened Ponderado M Counseling Services, LLC on a ranch in La Grange, Texas. The counseling office is nestled around animals and the outdoors as they are used to create a unique therapeutic environment and opportunity for the client outside the traditional office setting.
I am a clinician dedicated to helping clients feel seen, supported, and empowered. My approach is practical, compassionate, and grounded in meeting people exactly where they are. I work with clients navigating anxiety, trauma, life transitions, substance use challenges, and the emotional weight of family or relationship stress.
In our work together, my goal is to create a space where you can explore your experiences without judgment and learn skills that genuinely support your day-to-day life. I focus on building trust, understanding the full picture of each person’s strengths and struggles, and helping clients make meaningful progress at a pace that feels right for them.
Beyond therapy, I mentor developing clinicians and support wellness programs, which keeps me connected to both the clinical and community sides of mental health. I believe in whole-person care, collaboration, and helping every client recognize that they are worthy of stability, growth, and peace.

Headway makes it easy to find support for your mental health — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Searching for therapists in Harker Heights starts with finding someone whose experience matches what you want help with. People often look for support with anxiety, depression, grief, relationship challenges, life transitions, or stress. As you compare therapists, look for listed specialties, therapy approaches, and details about who they work with. A therapist’s bio can help you understand their style, whether they use approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, or trauma-informed care, and what a first session may include.
In a smaller city like Harker Heights, local appointment options may be more limited than in larger Texas markets. Expanding your search to nearby areas like Killeen, Belton, and Nolanville can help, and virtual therapy can give you access to more licensed Texas therapists from home. As you narrow your options, consider appointment availability, whether the therapist is accepting new clients, session format, and whether they offer a free phone consultation. Reading profiles before booking can help you compare communication style, experience, and fit in one place.
Therapy in Harker Heights can be a significant investment without insurance. Using in-network insurance is one of the most reliable ways to reduce session costs and understand what you may pay before you book. Headway helps you find therapists who accept a wide range of insurance plans, show current availability, and are accepting new clients. You can enter your insurance details, review estimated costs, browse therapist bios, and book directly when you’re ready.
