Professionally, I have spent a decade in education (five years as a classroom teacher and five years as a school counselor). This is my third year as a therapist outside of the school setting.
For my masters degree, I attended Texas State University in San Marcos, TX (Eat 'em up cats!). At Texas State, I completed my MA in Professional Counseling with two focuses: school counseling and clinical mental health.
As a former educator, the populations I support include adolescents, young adults, educators, parents/guardians, and caretakers.
Are you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or exhausted by trying to manage your mental health on your own? Do you feel discouraged by the trial-and-error cycle of medications, uncertain whether anything will truly help, or unsure how to quiet the anxiety or heaviness that follows you through daily life?
You deserve care that feels clear, intentional, and supportive—care that respects who you are and where you come from. This is a space where your voice, culture, and lived experiences matter. Services are offered with cultural sensitivity, and support is available in Spanish for those who feel more comfortable expressing themselves in their native language.
Your needs come first—whether that means thoughtful medication management to reduce symptoms, supportive therapy to help you feel understood, or a combination of both. Together, we focus on stabilizing mood, easing anxiety and depression, and helping you regain a sense of direction and control. This is a space where your concerns are taken seriously, your experiences are validated, and your treatment is tailored to help you build clarity, resilience, and lasting well-being—step by step, at your pace.
As a licensed clinical social worker, I specialize in helping adults, women, veterans, BIPOC, and military families navigate the emotional weight of anxiety, trauma, and burnout. My approach is warm, direct, and deeply collaborative — I believe therapy should feel like a safe conversation with someone who truly gets it.
I use evidence-based modalities such as🧠 Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy-CBT); 🧘 Mindfulness and Acceptance-Based Therapies (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy-ACT); and ❤️ Relationship and Family Therapies (Family Systems Therapy). My desire is to help clients begin to heal at the root, not just manage symptoms. Together, we’ll uncover the patterns keeping you stuck and gently shift the beliefs that no longer serve you. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, confident, and emotionally free — not just in therapy, but in your everyday life.
It’s so nice to meet you. I believe that taking care of your mental health is an important part of living a balanced and fulfilling life. As a licensed professional counselor, I’ve spent years helping children, teens, and adults work through challenges like depression, anxiety, and everyday stress. My goal is to create a warm and supportive space where you can feel comfortable, understood, and ready to take steps toward feeling better.
Hello! I have a Masters of Education in Counseling and Human Development and have been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2002, with Supervisory status (2020). I am also a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) and have been since 1993. I am dedicated to fostering peace, respect, and healing within individuals and families. I am nurturing, patient and non-judgmental to help create a supportive environment where challenges can be addressed. I am a vocal advocate for children, teenagers, and adults. I have worked in psychiatric hospitals, RTC's, with TYC, private practice (all ages for individuals and families) and MHMR (focus on crisis counseling for children and teenagers). Trauma, depression, anxiety, crisis, and grief are some of my speciality areas.
My practice started out of a deep desire to help heal trauma passed down through generations. As a child of two trauma survivors myself, I know that these wounds can begin in childhood and follow us well into our adult lives. My goal is to work together to notice and intervene in harmful patterns that keep us trapped in cycles of pain and heartbreak.
