I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) with a Master of Arts in Counseling. I currently work in a group practice, and I’m passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and find pathways to healing and growth.
I have experience working with a wide range of clients, from young adults to those navigating end-of-life transitions. My focus areas include anxiety, depression, grief, and life transitions. I understand how overwhelming life can feel at times, and I’m here to help you explore ways to manage those feelings and take steps toward the life you want to live.
I’m trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which is a great tool for addressing negative thought patterns and behaviors. I also find Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to be a powerful approach for helping people live more authentically and in alignment with their values. Whether you're looking to manage stress, navigate grief, or just understand yourself better, we’ll work together to find the tools and strategies that resonate most with you.
I believe healing happens in a space where you feel safe, respected, and understood. My approach is trauma‐informed, culturally responsive, and grounded in compassion. I work collaboratively, at your pace, and without judgment. You can expect me to be honest, supportive, and consistent as we explore patterns, build skills, and work toward the life you want. My goal is to help you feel empowered, capable, and more connected to yourself and others. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to help you uncover your strengths, challenge unhelpful patterns, and create meaningful change. I meet you where you are and support you in moving forward at a pace that feels right for you.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a Master’s in Rehabilitation Counseling and Disability Studies from Langston University. I have 6 years of clinical experience working with teens, also, teens in transition to adulthood, college students, women, men, and single mom's in addition to single dad's reconnect to their true selves. Trauma causes a disconnect from our true selves and in order to heal we must reconnect. I work with client's who have experienced unprocessed traumas, depression and anxiety to name a few, and I assist them with reconnecting to their true authentic selves. I am available to help guide and support you during your healing journey. If you are navigating peer pressures, individual struggles, parenting issues, grief and life's transitions our work can create a healing process.
If you're feeling overwhelmed by trauma, anxiety, depression, PTSD, or bipolar disorder, you do not have to carry it alone. Therapy can be a place to feel heard, understood, and supported while you make sense of what you've been through. Together, we'll focus on helping you feel safer, more grounded, and better equipped to move through life with confidence and hope.
As a therapist, I'm naturally solution-focused, but I also know that lasting change doesn't happen by rushing past the hard stuff. I like to find a balance between processing and problem-solving. Sometimes that means helping clients unpack what's been weighing on them, make sense of their experiences, or connect the dots between past and present. Other times, it means rolling up our sleeves and figuring out what practical steps they can take to start feeling better and moving forward.
I don't believe therapy should be a place where you come in week after week and just talk without seeing any growth. At the same time, I don't believe in jumping straight to solutions before someone has had the opportunity to feel heard and understood. My goal is to help clients gain insight, build skills, and make meaningful changes while honoring where they are in the process.
I tend to be warm, down-to-earth, and genuine in my approach. I want clients to feel comfortable bringing their whole selves into the room—the messy parts, the uncertain parts, and the parts they're still trying to figure out. I believe some of the best work happens when people feel safe enough to be honest and supported enough to take risks.
Above all, I see therapy as a partnership. You are the expert on your life, and I'm here to help you make sense of what you're experiencing, recognize your strengths, and find a path forward that feels authentic and sustainable for you.
