Hello there, I'm here because this thing called life didn't come with a handbook and I'm guessing your are here for the same. Life can get dark, ugly, and make you feel like the walls are caving in. My goal is to promote wellness, growth, and a healthy life by challenging negative thought patterns, habits, and discovering underlying trauma. Take the first step by reaching out. I'll take the second step by meeting you in the center. You are not alone; I'm here for the hard stuff.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, and AASECT Certified Sex Therapist in the State of Texas. I earned my Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology at Texas Woman’s University. My training and experience have been focused on providing trauma informed care. I have worked primarily with active duty and veteran members of the military, first responders, and survivors of sexual violence and intimate partner violence. I have experience working with combat trauma, moral injury, sexual trauma, and religious trauma.
I am also an LGBTQ+ affirming sex therapist currently pursuing my PhD in Clinical Sexology. I am trained to work with individuals, couples, and polycules to help navigate sex and sexuality. Some areas of focus are kink, ethical non-monogamy, variance in desire, and reclaiming sex after trauma.
It’s okay to need support. Life can become overwhelming when anxiety, mood changes, trauma, depression, or panic begin affecting your ability to feel like yourself. You may notice your mind won’t slow down, your sleep is off, or it’s harder to focus and keep up with daily responsibilities. When stress builds or world events add to the weight you’re carrying, it can start to feel like too much to manage alone. Many people reach a point where coping strategies no longer feel like enough, and that’s often when support can make a real difference.
I believe care should feel personal, not rushed or one-size-fits-all. I take time to understand your story, not just your symptoms, and create a space where you feel comfortable being open without fear of judgment. I’ll be honest and supportive, helping you make sense of what you’re experiencing while offering guidance that feels practical and manageable.
My goal is to help you feel more balanced, clear, and confident in navigating your day-to-day life.
I came to counseling after having already completed a successful career and was looking for something different. I completed graduate school in Texas and have since become licensed in both Texas and Colorado. The majority of my work is in general counseling and I also work with couples and families. I have worked for University of Texas schools as well as for the University of Alabama. While working in the UT system schools I helped with veterans issues and transition to civilian life. During Covid I provided counseling for military families and first responders.
I strive to empower clients to regain agency of their own health and well-being. With 30+ years of being a therapist, I understand that making desired changes can be challenging and fulfilling at the same time.
Hi, I’m Stacy! I started my career in mental health in 2009 after graduating from Kent State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology. I have a passion for Dialectical Behavior Therapy which developed while working at the Women’s Center at Clearview Treatment Programs in Venice, California. During my time there, I gained experience working in residential and transitional living facilities. In 2014, I graduated from the American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University – Orange County with a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology. Shortly after graduation, I moved to Houston, Texas, where I expanded my clinical experience working in intensive outpatient (IOP), outpatient (OP), and private practice settings. I enjoy getting to know my clients and building our relationships through active listening and empathy, and I strive to provide an environment that fosters mutual trust. I have a passion for equipping my clients with valuable skills needed to navigate life’s challenges, as well as help them identify opportunities for growth.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, working out, traveling, trying out new vegetarian recipes, and snuggling up with my three cats. I also enjoy volunteering and fostering for several nearby animal rescues. I recently moved back to Southern California and have been enjoying re-exploring the city where I'm from!
Hey there/ Bienvenidos! I'm a first-generation Latinx therapist who has a deep appreciation for my clients' complexity of identity, culture and lived experience. I often work with individuals who are ready to explore their relationship to self, others, and the world around them. My style is casual, warm, and inquisitive- seeing YOU as the expert in your own life.
Are you on the struggle bus and just can't seem to find your way? I help clients find their way by processing through anxiety, grief, or simply untangling emotions. I am a former high school counselor with 23 years experience working with teens and their families. In addition to my professional counseling experience, I compete in the dog show world and understand the unique needs of competitors. My approach is person centered counseling and I believe in joining clients on their journey towards healing. I specialize in offering a non-judgmental space that offers support and guidance to allow the client to process thoughts and emotions. I firmly believe that a good therapist should listen far more than they talk. Getting started on your therapeutic path can seem daunting! But, the first step is simply reaching out to set an appointment. Know that my clients are my priority and your healing is my passion. I will bring a sense of calm to your life along with a good dose of humor. Let's work together to help you make the changes you desire.

Headway makes it easy to find support for your mental health — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Finding the right therapist in Texas starts with getting clear on what you're looking for. Consider the concerns you want to address — whether that's anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, trauma, or something else — and look for a licensed provider with experience in that area. Texas-licensed therapists include Licensed Professional Counselors (LPCs), Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFTs), and psychologists, each with different training backgrounds. Reading a provider's bio can help you understand their approach and decide if they're a good match.
With Texas being the second-largest state in the country, access to in-person care varies widely depending on where you live. Virtual therapy makes it possible to connect with a licensed provider from anywhere in the state, whether you're in a major metro area or a smaller community. Many providers on Headway offer both virtual and in-person sessions, so you can choose what works best for your schedule and preferences.
Therapy in Texas can be expensive without insurance. Using your in-network benefits is one of the most reliable ways to reduce what you pay out of pocket. On Headway, you can enter your insurance details to see estimated session costs before you book, and many patients pay as low as $0 per session. Nationally, Headway partners with over 100 insurance plans, making it easier to find a therapist who fits your needs and your budget.
