I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with extensive experience providing evidence-based mental health services to adolescents, adults, couples, families, and elite athletes. Help athletes in their mental skills and performance.
My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and goal-oriented, helping clients develop practical strategies to overcome challenges while building resilience and lasting emotional well-being.
I earned my Master of Social Work degree from the University of Puerto Rico and have worked across outpatient mental health, crisis intervention, community behavioral health, and professional sports. I currently serve as a Mental Health Team Counselor with the Baltimore Orioles organization, where I support professional athletes in managing stress, anxiety, performance demands, life transitions, and overall psychological wellness.
My clinical experience includes treating anxiety, depression, trauma, adjustment disorders, relationship concerns, grief and loss, stress management, self-esteem, and life transitions. I integrate evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution-Focused Therapy, and strengths-based interventions, tailoring treatment to each client’s unique goals and needs.
I believe that meaningful change begins with a trusting therapeutic relationship. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, empowered, and equipped with the tools they need to thrive both personally and professionally.

His military background, along with specialized training in trauma and addiction therapies, allows him to connect with clients through a practical, compassionate, and evidence-based approach that honors each person's unique experiences and goals.
I am a National Board Certified Counselor (NBCC) licensed in New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia, providing therapy to adults residing in those states.
I was drawn to being a therapist through my own personal experiences and understanding the value of having a safe space to process my emotions. I truly enjoy being able to help others and consider it a privilege to support others to reach their potential.
I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, health-related stress, grief, self-esteem, stress management and significant life transitions. My goal is to help clients better understand the patterns contributing to emotional distress while strengthening their ability to respond to challenges with resilience and intention.
My personal journey was not one I would choose. My first husband was diagnosed with cancer in September 2004 and died in February 2006. The experience of spousal caregiving and young widowhood, and 10 years as a federal Special Agent eventually led me to change careers to become a counselor.
I love helping individuals and couples build meaning, self-acceptance, and self-worth despite grief, trauma, shame, and problematic behavior and relationship patterns.
As a highly curious person, I've always wanted to understand people and how they make decisions. I feel as though the journey towards becoming a therapist was a natural consequence of these traits. Even after 10+ years in the field, I am interested in continuing to learn and embrace people of all backgrounds and use the stories my clients tell me to help guide them to an improved lifestyle.
Deciding on a therapist can be a daunting experience; I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience. I provide psychotherapy services via video and phone sessions. I have always known there was a need for high-quality mental health providers. Therefore, I focus my clinical practice on providing high-quality services and evidence-based interventions to my clients. I have treated many clients with a variety of diagnoses including: addiction, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, PTSD and attention deficit disorder.
I have a strong passion to help people, and truly believe in each individual’s strengths and abilities. Some of the treatment modalities used are Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and a Strengths-Based approach in an unbiased and non judgmental manner. Thus allowing me to create the holding space my clients need.
I have realized that when we understand our strengths and have developed them we are able to improve and or have a better quality of life. Sometimes we do not understand that a crisis can affect many different areas in our life and recognizing and acknowledging it is the first step in our journey to healing.
Now accepting new clients. I am a transgender man and queer identified. Before becoming a therapist, I had previous work experience and years of study as a creative professional and educator. I value authenticity, a willingness and openness to learn, grow, heal, and live an empowered and sustainable life. I enjoy working with people from all stages of life from adolescents to older adults. I have in person availability on Mondays and Tuesdays to work with clients in person in Charlottesville. I offer virtual sessions via telehealth for clients throughout the State of Virginia and California.
