I am a compassionate and dedicated psychotherapist who values creating a genuine, trusting connection with each client. I believe therapy works best when you feel safe, understood, and able to be your authentic self.
I earned my Master of Arts from National University and completed doctoral-level training at Pacifica Graduate Institute. My clinical training and professional experience have provided me with a strong foundation in working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
I have experience working in drug and alcohol rehabilitation settings, where I supported individuals navigating substance use, trauma, and related mental health challenges. I also have experience working with men’s mental health concerns, including emotional regulation, identity, and relationship issues.
I use an integrative approach, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Psychodynamic Therapy to help clients understand both present challenges and underlying patterns. I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, relationship concerns, and life transitions, helping them build insight alongside practical tools for lasting change.
Outside of my work as a therapist, I value staying active and maintaining a strong mind-body connection. I spend much of my time weightlifting, boxing, practicing jiu-jitsu, and participating in CrossFit and Olympic lifting, and I also enjoy running. These practices help me stay grounded and bring a perspective of discipline, resilience, and balance into my work with clients.
I am a lifelong learner who thrives on exploring new places and connecting with new people. When I'm not in the office, you'll usually find me outdoors enjoying quality time with my family and my dog.
The journey into and through adulthood is rarely a straight line. My education in psychology, education, and marriage and family therapy has deepened my holistic and relational perspective to working with clients. Today, my practice mainly focuses on helping adults navigate life transitions, manage anxiety, and establish healthy boundaries. I am dedicated to creating a warm, insightful space where you can untangle complex feelings and built a resilient foundation for the future.
My goal as a therapist is to create a safe space for you to freely express your thoughts and feelings about life's complexities. Together we will work on making changes to benefit your life. I believe everyone is capable of change, but does not know how to do the work. I want to motivate you to succeed at creating the life that you want.
I work with adults who want to better understand themselves, strengthen emotional resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change. My style is warm, collaborative, and empowering — I believe you are the expert on your own life.
As a graduate of the University of Southern California, my training emphasized both clinical excellence and authentic human connection. I integrate CBT and DBT-informed approaches to help clients develop practical skills for managing emotions, navigating relationships, setting healthy boundaries, and shifting unhelpful thought patterns.
I was drawn to this work because I’ve seen how powerful self-awareness and skill-building can be in transforming not only how we cope, but how we experience ourselves and our relationships. I understand that seeking therapy can feel vulnerable, and I strive to create a grounded, supportive space where you feel truly seen — while also gently challenged to grow in ways that build confidence, clarity, and lasting self-trust.
Hello I’m Christine Lam, a licensed clinical counselor based in California. I specialize in helping individuals better understand themselves, navigate life’s challenges, and create meaningful, lasting change. One phrase you’ll often hear me say in therapy is, “You are the expert on your own life.” By that, I mean that you bring the lived experiences, insights, and wisdom that come from being you. My role is not to tell you who you are or what you should do, but to serve as a collaborative guide - helping you make sense of your experiences, emotions, and patterns in a space free from judgment, expectations, or performance. My goal is to create an environment where you feel fully seen, understood, and welcomed exactly as you are.
I support teens, adults, and families who are navigating life transitions, emotional overwhelm, relationship challenges, grief, identity exploration, anxiety, depression, and the lasting impact of difficult or traumatic experiences. Whether you are feeling disconnected from yourself, struggling to break painful relational patterns, or simply trying to find steadiness during a difficult season of life, therapy can become a space where healing and clarity begin to emerge.
I’m grateful to have a career that allows me to be authentically myself and spend my days talking deeply about things that matter. I love working with motivated, bright people who know they have a lot to offer, but feel a bit blocked. I find great joy in helping people unblock to find ease and authenticity in their own lives.
