Example: "I have always wanted a job where I was of service to others, but I didn't know how to channel that into a career until I took an introduction to psychology course in college. We learned a lot about mental illness, what causes it and different ways to treat it, which inspired me to pursue my degree. I loved the idea of helping others overcome mental illness and helping them achieve their life goals."
With all that is going on in the world and our community right now, you’ve likely been carrying a lot for a long time. You learned how to get through overwhelming experiences, and on the outside you seem strong...but inside, you feel tired and disconnected. You might not be in crisis, but you know you’re not fully at peace, either. Maybe you want to feel grounded again, or to understand yourself more deeply, or to reconnect with the parts of you that had to go quiet in order to cope. You’re ready for a slower, steadier kind of healing, and a therapist that feels safe and honors your pace.
Have you been carrying more than you feel you can hold right now? I'm currently welcoming new clients and would love to support you. I work exclusively with women navigating anxiety, depression, grief, and life transitions, and my heart is especially drawn to those moments when life feels too heavy to carry alone. Whether you're processing a loss, feeling stuck in old patterns, or searching for a deeper sense of peace, you've come to the right place. I've spent the last four years walking alongside women through some of their hardest chapters, and I bring both warmth and real-life relatability to every session.
With a background in working with individuals across various age groups, including children, teenagers, and adults, I bring extensive experience to our therapeutic relationship. My focus areas include ADHD, oppositional defiant disorder, depression, anxiety, and complex PTSD. I understand that each individual's journey is unique, and I'm here to provide the support you need to navigate the challenges you may be facing.
I am client-centered in my approach, and I believe that treatment should be tailored to the individual client's needs and goals. I have training in multiple theoretical approaches, and am dedicated to helping clients heal from past traumas, rebuild their confidence and self-worth, and find meaning in their lives. I believe that although seeking therapeutic help can be intimidating, when we work together to create meaningful change, we can achieve increased life satisfaction and happiness.
I offer individual, couples, premarital, marriage, family, child, and adolescent counseling. The environment is a non-judgmental, safe place of acceptance. I will walk along side and help you develop strength and peace. I offer ways that can be helpful in managing trauma, stress, and dealing with communication and trust within relationships. My goal is to help you access internal resources and make adjustments that can be helpful. Since 2013, my focus has been working with individuals who are dealing with a variety of issues, including trauma. I enjoy working with a diverse population including individuals who are dealing with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and grief, to develop a plan to bring positive changes.
I believe therapy is most effective when people feel safe and supported, and my master’s degree in forensic psychology taught me to see things from multiple perspectives to support clients. I have worked in outpatient substance use treatment and integrated healthcare and also taught and supervised students and early-career therapists. These experiences have helped tailor my practice to support clients experiencing complex and traumatic events, relationship issues, addiction, and life changes.
